As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are highlighting Pink Ribbon products that benefit the cause. I’m a big fan of Bobbi Brown lipstick and this month, you can get their limited edition Pink Ribbon Collection.

The set includes Pink Quartz Glitter Lip Gloss and Tulle Lip Color. The lip gloss gives you a terrific sparkling shine that can be worn alone or in conjunction with the lipstick.

Bobbi Brown is donating a portion of proceeds from the collection to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. You can order the set online at Nordstrom.com for $40.

How do you get lip color that lasts?

Here are some simple tips:

Exfoliate your lips with a washcloth to create a smooth surface.

Apply powder or primer to your lips if you are using creme formula lipstick.

Fill in your entire lips with liner before applying lipstick.

Use a lip brush for precision. You will be able to extend the color to the corners of your lips.

As I’m sure you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Hundreds of companies produce and designate “pink” products with a portion of sales going back to breast cancer related charities such as the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and many others.
You might be surprised that some of the products that you use regularly are part of the promotion. For example, here are three of my personal favorites that are giving back.

As I’m sure you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Hundreds of companies produce and designate “pink” products with a portion of sales going back to breast cancer related charities such as the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Susan G.
You might be surprised that some of the products that you use regularly are part of the promotion. For example, here are three of my personal favorites that are giving back.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
I have used this product for over a dozen years. The special, limited-edition bottle of this best-selling moisturizer is priced at $35 with $10 per bottle sold going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The jumbo-sized bottle comes with a pump and a collectable Pink Ribbon key chain. Available at select Clinique counters around the country.

Elizabeth Hurley High Gloss Lip Color Collection
Three high gloss shades (pearl, pink and rose) come in a limited edition Pink Ribbon case. This set is priced at $16 and just a small part of the Estee Lauder Pink Ribbon Collection, which includes the Evelyn Lauder Lip Collection, a special edition of Beautiful Ead de Parfum Spray and other fantastic items. Estee Lauder is committed to at least at $500,000 donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The products are available at all Estée Lauder counters in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, as well as online at esteelauder.com.

e.l.f.’s Super Glossy Lip Shine in Pink Kiss
The best cheap lip gloss out there, in my opinion, is offering 100% of profits from sales of the Pink Kiss shade to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. And it’s only a dollar!

Ok, riddle me this – whats better than a killer lightweight hairdryer? Yep, a killer lightweight Tourmaline hair dryer. Whats better than a killer lightweight Tourmaline hair dryer? A killer lightweight PINK Tourmaline hair dryer, of course!! And what is better that THAT? A killer pink Tourmaline hair dryer that, when you purchase it, the manufacturer will donate part of the purchase price to a great cause – you guessed it – breast cancer research. Can you think of any reason NOT to get one – and get one in a hurry before they are gone? I couldn’t. And couldn’t resist it myself.

I always find one pink item every year at this time (October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month) that I just crave. Last year, do you remember what it was? Boy I do. Those awesome Pink Wellies. MMMM! I can rationalize spending $100 on a pair of rain boots (do you know how much rain we have here in Texas? Um…not much) when they are PINK and part of the profits go to Breast Cancer Research. I have mentioned before, one of my dearest friends, Selina, is a stage 3 breast cancer survivor, and seeing her go through what she has gone through makes me so happy whenever I can support that cause.

This Hot Tools Professional Tourmaline hair dryer sells for $79.00, and has the latest features in hair dryer technology:

Not only is the UltraLite(tm) Tourmaline(tm) Tools Dryer designed as a tool of hope, it makes hair look healthy and shiny, dries faster, and fights germs and bacteria. Its Pro-Moisture System(tm), with Tourmaline and direct IONIC® Technology, leaves hair radiant and soft while cutting drying time by up to 50% and eliminating frizz. Nano Silver particles embedded in the housing act as a natural bacteriostat, creating a zone of protection by killing germs on contact.

Honestly, I thought – that has to be a bunch of hooey. Really. How much can hair dryer technology change? Well, it has. My hair, honestly, feels great after drying it with this hair dryer. I let my hair dry naturally most of the time, because I can really tell how dry it gets when I blow dry normally. It gets frizzy and just feels worn out. Not so with this one. My hair feels soft and is shiny and truly does feel like it has had some sort of moisturizing treatment – it is really different. The dryer has high and low settings, hot and warm settings and a cool shot button (which is used for setting in a curl or a shape by quickly cooling down the warm hair while you hold it in the proper position). It is also very lightweight, which is especially nice for professionals, as well as people like me who have a combination of a mass of very thick hair that takes forever to dry, and carpal tunnel syndrome that makes holding heavy things in your fingers terribly painful after a short period of time.

Did I mention I love this hair dryer? Try it, you will love it too!!
