I had breakfast with the La Prairie team last week, and learned about their amazing new fragrance launch – more on that soon – but first I wanted to share the also-new anti-aging concealer I learned about.
Concealers are tough – you need them for everything from imperfections to under-eye darkness, but you also need something that, ideally, will be a perfect base for stuff like shadows and also not accentuate lines.
How about if it did ALL that…firmed/hydrated and protects to help prevent future lines, wrinkles and discoloration?
I can honestly say that La Prairie’s new concealer does ALL these things. It’s …read more
My New Concealer Discovery

Great concealers are hard to come by, especially for me.
I’m super fair-skinned, so what appears to blend in and conceal on others stands out like a street lamp on me.
Make Up For Ever’s HD Invisible Cover Concealer is completely oil-free and delivers a medium coverage that is just enough to cover the slight blemishes and blotchy spots my lifestyle (i.e. living on martinis and appetizers), affords me.
And even better, while it does all that, it’s invisible! It has a soft-focus, I love to use it when brightening the eye area, for that always-coveted radiant look – too, lacking, with my …read more

Kanebo Sensai Brush Concealer: Treatment Makeup
SENSAI Concealer is enriched with Kanzo (licorice) Extract, a traditional medicinal herb taken from the root of the licorice plant and used to gently soothe blemishes and help prevent irritation. A second key component is Moistened Powder, a unique powder pre-moistened and coated with oil that helps to retain the natural oil in the skin. Silk Extract—prevents moisture loss and allows for a smooth application—and Weightless Glow Factor, is an exquisite, feather-like powder with thin, flat granules which provide smooth coverage and which cause light to reflect evenly off your face. A concealer with tea tree oil and other ingredients to help cover and fight blemishes.
I’ve already mentioned this but let me say it again, I’ve been using The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Oil Cover Stick for over seven years now. I first discovered it mid 2000 when I was searching for a concealer to replace the old brand I was using. I was never the experimenting type but the promise of natural ingredients — note, Tea Tree Oil and organic beeswax — I braved the purchase and use of this particular beauty product. I was hooked ever since. I even …read more

It’s not much really. I just knew that I needed to buy a new tube of concealer and the other two were somewhat of a necessity, too. Er, well, not the beads, though.
What I’ve bought:
Tea Tree Oil Cover Stick
Skin Sponge
Brush-On Beads
I’ve been using the Cover Stick for years now, seven to be exact. I reckon the product has earned my loyalty. The sponge is an obvious purchase since I love baths, right? With all the liquid soaps and a variety of scrubs and bath tools I have, I’m bound to explore further till I find a perfect bath partner.
And the …read more
