Dior Skinflash Primer

I still can’t get over the sheer magnitude of people who not only do not wear primers, but are not aware of what they are for.
Even sadder, for a long time, I was one of them…and then the second that I saw the light, I never looked back.
Of course, not all primers are created equal, and I have my favorites, and not-so-favorites. I’m a new fan of Dior’s Skinflash, though.
First of all, it has a built-in brush: Great for achieving better application.
From a scientific angle, it is made with something called “photo-smart pigments” – it’s light-attracting, which helps me to …read more

Dior 1-Colour High Impact Eyeshadow

If I learned anything on the runways this season, it’s that high-def is where it’s at.
Check out this fab Dior 1-Colour Ultra-Smoothing High Impact Eye Shadow collection.
It comes in eight super-hot (designer) shades that range from ultra-matte to shiny. And they are all very glam, with max color results.
Behold the shimmery white shade at left, it’s my favorite look of the season, and of this collection. I’m all about the whites and silvers – wait till you see the contrast it creates in your eyes – absolutely awesome.

Dior Apricot Fortifying Creme for Nails

Sometimes oldies are indeed the best goodies.
Around since 1963, Dior’s cult-favorite Dior Apricot Creme is a godsend for even the most abused nails.
This creamy salve is supposed to help with nail growth, but it also improves nail strength, and conditions cuticles. It can be massaged into the base of nail pre- or post- polish.
As someone who is constantly dealing with rough, ragged nails  – which makes us look older, by the way – this is a huge find, and a permanent add to my beauty drawer!

Dior Addict Lip Polish

It may sound crazy, but despite owning dozens of tubes of lip color, I pretty much live in gloss.
I do have my faves though, and newly on top of the pile is Dior Addict Lip Polish.
I am proud owner of the pink tone, Fresh Expert, but it comes in excellent coral and beige, and I’m smitten.
This product is actually based on the secrets of pro makeup artists, who backstage will roll a cotton swab along models’ lips to exfoliate; then they apply petroleum jelly to prime the surface and multiply the shine of the gloss topcoat.
This gloss has a cool …read more

Dior Nude Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup

Recently, I was at a media event, and I found Dior’s Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup SPF 10 in my goodie bag.
I was super excited from the start – I may have crates of cosmetic swag – but Dior? That’s a special occasion even for me!
Well, as you might imagine – I ripped open the package the second I walked through my front door at tried it out.
It’s 100% natural mineral pigments mixed with active mineralized water – no funky stuff – and it truly does create flawless complexion and glowing skin!
At $45, it may seem like a splurge …read more

Spring 2006 Makeup: Dior

Dior has a bit more “lively” view of Spring – containing lots more shine and frost as opposed to the more subtle, matte visions of some of the other makeup artists. This looks pretty much like last years spring to me, which is fine, I still love the glowing look myself!
