Threading is an ancient method of hair removal that uses the precise twisting of a cotton thread to remove hair. Because threading grabs the individual hair only, it is less harsh on the skin. It appeals to clients with sensitive skin, acne problems or who have an adverse reaction to waxing. While there is a slight pressure akin to getting a hair plucked, it does not leave the skin red or raw.

I haven’t. The idea of twisting a thread around a strand then pulling it off my skin intimidates me. Good thing I don’t have problems when it comes to excessive facial hair. If I need to re-shape my eyebrows, I pluck them myself or I’d go to a salon to have it done. I don’t even like waxing!

I reckon this method takes a long time to finish (unless it’s done by an expert) and it can be painful esp if you’re not used to getting your hair plucked. But from experience, you can get use to it.

If I do get around to giving this technique a try, I’ll let you guys know. But one thing is certain, I definitely won’t do this at home as sort of an experiment. I wouldn’t want to end up in the ER. Heh.
