]]> elle-intense-yves-saint-laurent I will get this fragrance if for no other reason than it is such a gorgeous bottle.  How is that for a review? :)   I like the original Elle scent well enough to wear it on semi-regular occasion, but honestly, I ADORE the bottle.  It is so – pink.  And gold.  It is beautiful and makes me so happy to see on my shelf!  Silly – I know.

This is the newest incarnation of the elle fragrance, elle Intense by Yves Saint Laurent.  It is a heavier version of the original scent with notes of raspberries, pink pepper and patchouli.   The bottle is a little more dramatic, but follows along the same gorgeous lines as the original, which puts it as an A+ in my book.  ;)

]]> In the midst of London’s Fashion Week, going on now, Elle’s Style Awards 2008 has made their mark.  Kylie Minogue won the Woman of the Year award:

 
Honestly, I don’t really get the appeal of Kylie Minogue, can someone enlighten me?  I know she has beaten cancer over the last year or so, and that is a huge and wonderful achievement for her, but she had crazy appeal to people before that ever happened.  What is it?  The only thing I have ever known her for was that (stupid, sorry) Locomotion song.  Certainly not enough to make one an international superstar.  I guess it is indeed one of those international things.  Like David Hasselhoff (yeah yeah don’t hassle the hoff).   Let the beatings begin. :)
