In a nut shell, professional makeup artists will help women identify their perfect lip shades and will offer on-the-spot mini sensational lipcolor makeovers! (At Rite Aid in Grand Central 8-10am, 12-2pm, 3-7pm and also, outside Grand Central from 3-7pm.)

As if a free lip-over wasn’t enough fun, there’ll also be a free live musical performances by the CHICAGO cast between 3:30 and 4:30pm, during which you may enter to win FREE Tickets to Broadway’s CHICAGO. In fact, you can enter every hour to win these tickets.

Chances are a lot of you will be roaming around the city mid-day anyway – might as well get prettier while you’re at it!

Something fun to add to your calendar: Clearasil is hosting the first ever Pimple Blocker Battle at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square on April 7th.

Basically, five dance crews will battle it out to become the First Clearasil Dance Crew.

The event includes celebrity judges Alyson Stoner (Camp Rock), Drew Lachey and celebrity choreographer, GEO and there will also be a TBD celebrity host! Once the crews battle it out at Hard Rock in front of the celebrity judges, the videos will be posted online for America to vote for the winner.

As I drifted into consciousness, only two words prodded me to actually get up and get ready, “Olay Regenerist”.

I hauled my arse to Makati to attend a video teleconference over at the P&G Office, mainly to get to know this line they’re planning to launch in Manila real soon. Yea, Olay Regenerist finally arrives in Manila. An hour late, fortunately missing all the scientific mumbo-jumbo, I had scrambled to catch up. I did, however, successfully learn as much as I could. I’ll do a bit more research as I tell you more about the Olay Regenerist line. Plus I can’t wait to tell you more about the things they have in store for all of us. Hint: it’s happening next month!

Glad to have seen a couple of beauty bloggers, Angel of Vanity Vibe and Bambi of My Makeup Paradise (whom I also hung out with and talked about her makeup gigs and beauty blogging thingamajigs till late in the afternoon!).

So, ok. I got an invite to attend a press launch dubbed as “Luxury at Old Manila”, which will feature the latest beauty treasures from Guerlain and YSL, scheduled tomorrow afternoon; Thursday, 07 August 2008. I have to admit that I’m curious and am sorely tempted to go even just to enjoy the Bizu cocktails. I’m also keen on checking out the makeover sessions that will be handled by top local makeup artists, Irene Sy Go and Mitch Lim Reyes. And the idea of getting a nail massage from Nail Spa!

Sigh.

If only I’m not looking at a huge pile of work before me. So, yea. Here I am, uncertain if I’ll be able to go.

Man, if only I lived anywhere near The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ortigas where a Mercedez Benz chauffeured service will be available for attendees then I wouldn’t be troubling myself with driving myself all the way to Robinson’s Ermita, taking into account the current state of gas prices and all. Gah.

Anyway, I’m still crossing my fingers. Perhaps when I wake up tomorrow I find out that I can actually go! So, do let me know if you’ll be there. I like the idea of seeing a “familiar” face in the crowd. And if I won’t be able to make it, hope all you who can go will have a grand time!

Part of the programme of the Pantene Dare to Get Wet Event last Monday night, 28 April 2008 was the presentation of their Council of Stylists to the media and the rest of the public. Included are such luminaries in the styling world as (pictured above, left to right) Rose Velasco and Jude Hipolito of Univers Phyto Salon by Kaizen, Jing Monis of Propaganda, Celeste Tuviera of Symmetria, Henri Calayag of Henri Calayag Salon, Louis Kee of Razzle Dazzle, and Victor Ortega of Emphasis.

The Pantene Council of Stylists aims to make their expertise available to more Filipina women, which includes styling tips and hair advice that will help address common hair problems.

During the press conference, they all shared each and everyone’s excitement on this initiative, all were looking forward to sharing best practices with each other as they find themselves unified with one advocacy under the P&G brand, Pantene Pro V — creating awareness on the secret to unbreakable hair, the new Pantene Hairfall Control.

Personally, I have yet to see the significance that these people will bring to the whole thing. I can’t help but wonder what sort of role they will be playing during this campaign, apart from the updates we can expect over at the website – http://www.pantenesmostbeautiful.com. I reckon we still need to keep an eye on this one.

I have to admit I’m a little bit intrigued about what they’ve got to say. It’s the first time I’ve ever encountered the term, “Organiceutical”, which I know isn’t really a word you can look up in a dictionary. Heh. Asians are indeed known for their unique beauty regimens, I mean, the rest of the world look upon their beauty secrets, all hoping to get an idea on how they’ve managed to have great skin. Is it all because of superstitious, traditional or ancient skincare practices or pure luck? Perhaps it’s the environment? Genes, maybe?

This luncheon will happen on the 2nd of April. It’ll be a bit of a wait esp with the Holy Week coming and all. I just thought you guys ought to know what to expect and perhaps you can throw in questions you wish to know so I can prepare in advance, hopefully, answer each and every question. Feel free to leave them in the comment area below.

I reckon sharing a short video clip will help you to better visualise what went on during the Sunsilk Life Can’t Wait Event. The three image models Heart Evanglista, Marian Rivera and Maja Salvador stood in front of their respective Sunsilk posters, which are all part of the current campaign of the brand.

Voice in the background is Sam Oh, who was introducing the five Sunsilk ambassadors (a bit on that on a later post).

Sam Oh was the host for the Sunsilk Life Can’t Wait Event that I attended a few days ago. While everyone else was busy photographing the three image models (Maja Salvador, Heart Evangelista and Marian Rivera) I found myself standing two feet away from the host, hence, allowing me to take this photo of her.

Isn’t she pretty? Anyway, Sam mentioned that she’s been meaning to update her blog (she failed to mention its URL) but haven’t had the opportunity to do so. Too busy, she said. I wish I had the chance to ask her a bit about beauty stuff. Ah, well. Another time, perhaps? Hehe.
