M·A·C Starflash Eyeshadow

Back in 1998, In Style awarded MAC’s Starflash with the best eyeshadow award…and now, my all-time favorite shade is back!
The shade is super pearly, and very intense — especially on my coloring, and when paired with my favorite black liner.
By adding the astro-creamy, rich and frosted shadow, you sort of create an awesome eye supernova. It’s fab. Frosty whites are huge this season – you’ll even see Madonna wearing a variant on her current tour – but I’ve loved the shade since even before it was a trend. It’s just super flattering!
Double-Ended Grab’n Go Brush

While I obviously have a full (OK, several full) set of brushes, I love when I can find a good one that can do several tasks at once.
Sephora Brand Double-Ended Grab’n Go Brush is a two-in-one powder and eyeshadow brush that I just love.
I spent a lot of time running around from meeting to meeting, often with the need for a quick touch-up. As I prefer not to carry around a million beauty tools in my bag, this is a brilliant solution for one applicator of powder and eye makeup.
Plus, check out the great color scheme – orange fibers? Black …read more

It was all the talk of the beauty boards when Besame Cosmetics announced its super sale (up to 75% off). The brand is repackaging/reformulating much of its line, so it’s out with the old, in with the new! I made a purchase a few weeks ago, and many of the products are still available. I just love the cute, retro packaging. It’s so luxe! The lipstick tube design is inspired by a lipstick case that belonged to Hernandez’s grandmother.
Some products I can wholeheartedly recommend are the Pistachio Eyeshadow, …read more

I love love love these mineralize eyeshadows from MAC. There are a bunch of gorgeous colors swirled into a pressed mound of color (these are not loose eyeshadows). This season, MAC has done a little bit different job with them and paired them with a coordinating solid color all in one compact. Yeah! This is the Electroflash collection:
There are colors for everyone, and really these are like getting several colors for the price of one. And if that’s not good enough for you, until Saturday night, July 12th, you can get free shipping on your order using the code …read more
Try Bright Eyes For Summer

Well, we finally made it to The Devil Wears Prada yesterday – and I did love it. I quit reading the book because I found out the movie was coming out and I hate to read a book before I see a movie – the movie is never as good and it ruins it for me. Anyway, what struck me more than anything, besides Meryl Streeps brilliant monologue on how couture drives ready to wear, was Emily Blunt’s eyes. Just gorgeous. Peacock blues and greens with her pale skin and brilliant red hair was just …read more
Loreal H.I.P. Eyecolor

I have been meaning to write a bit on L’Oreal’s HIP (High Intensity Pigment) eyeshadows for several weeks now. I have tried two different colors, and really love these. They are intense colors and they stay on very well without creasing or flaking or fading. The one pictured above is called Cheeky, and is a metallic pink/mauve and a darker mauve. The color representation on my monitor is very close. The other one I tried is below, is called Dynamic, and is a matte dark brown with a frosted cream color. Very pretty …read more
