Pangea Nigerian Ginger Face Cream

Last year, my best friend and I were Ginger and Mary Anne for Halloween.
She is obsessed with all things ginger – characters with that name, pink food items that come with sushi, ginger snap cookies. Me, not so much. It’s not that I dislike it, it’s just that ginger vs. chocolate, chocolate is going to win every time.
We may have finally found a place to coexist peacefully.
I’m loving the scent of Pangea’s Nigerian Ginger, Sweet Lavender & Thyme Facial Cream – it’s super-hydrating and has no harmful chemicals, but  is also rich in healthy essential fatty acids (EFAs). like Argan, …read more

Spa at Westin Los Cabos

Yesterday morning, we left the gorgeous Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar, and traveled to another property about twenty miles away.
We’re now staying at the Westin Los Cabos, which is gorgeous in a modern, almost futuristic way – and their spa is no exception.
One of our first stops was to check out the resort’s spa, a place where it’s simultaneously cleansing and indulging – with definite feels of the sea as inspiration.
As  I was feeling already like I was living in the lap of luxury, I sampled their caviar facial. Caviar is actually already known to have incredible anti-aging properties, but it …read more

Miracle Whip Facial

Miracle Whip Facial

I have found a couple references lately to a Miracle Whip facial – yes, the Miracle Whip salad dressing by Kraft. The vinegar in the dressing will exfoliate your skin, while the mayonnaise part of the concoction will moisturize! Apply a medium coating of Miracle Whip to your face and walk around, or go outside, so the fumes from the vinegar won’t knock you out (they are pretty strong!). Leave it on your face for 10-20 minutes, the Miracle Whip will “melt” into your skin. When time is up, give your face a good …read more

DIY Facial

I still love to have beauty night, just as much as I did when I was spending the night at my girlfriends homes as a teenager. A nice facial is a great thing to do for your skin, whether it is at home or at the spa. Back in Knoxville, where I lived most of my life, I had the most wonderful esthetician and have never been able to replace her any better than I could do it myself, so here is what I do:
1. Put my hair back with a headband and wash my face …read more
