It amazes me how many women will buy new shoes and clothes as the seasons change, but don’t’ even consider changing their face palette.
According to celebrity makeup artist Douglas Otera, some of the hottest fall colors for us to consider adding to our cosmetics box are dusky purples, blues and deep plums.
Douglas says a way to do this is to experiment with a dark purple or sapphire eye paired with nude, matte lip, or a wine-dark lipstick. To finish the look add just a slash of eyeliner and mascara!

First Day of School! (i.e., Life is Good!)

The end of August is always full of *stuff.* My birthday (thankGodthatsover), my Mom’s bday (Happy Birthday Mom! *muah*), and school starting.
I have been in the weirdest funk this last two weeks – some big life changes coming up for me, some weirdness with friends, some weirdness with my daughter and all culminating with my 40th birthday last Friday, which was totally weird all in itself.
