This afternoon, my friends and I had primo celeb-spotting seats at the Charlotte Ronson show at New York Fashion Week – pretty exciting!
But what was also pretty neat was hanging backstage and watching Maybelline make up the faces!
Here’s a list of the products that were used on the models before hitting the runway:
Maybelline New York Mineral Power Powder Foundation
Maybelline New York Mineral Power Concealer
Maybelline New York Mineral Power Blush in Gentle Pink
Maybelline New York Mineral Power Illuminator
Maybelline New York Lash Stiletto Mascara
Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lipstick in Born With It

I posted in ShopaholicsDaily last night about my huge love for Gwen Stefani and L.A.M.B. – I thought you may want to see how you can steal her nails, now!
Check out this picture of Gwen Stefani and a model at her L.A.M.B. show yesterday at Milk Studios.
All the models’ nails were done by the Dashing Diva nail tech team in the NYCF Fleet Week shade, a solid white color that matches Gwen’s favorite look.
I’m so smitten that I’m rocking white nails now!

Tarte at Fall ‘09 Fashion Week

Tarte adorned the faces of the super-hot models for Abaeté’s Fall ‘09 runway last week.
Abaeté’s Laura Poretzky says she was inspired by Les Incroyables, a group of gentlemen who formed in the 18th Century after the French Revolution.
The look was all about a monochromatic, dewy complexion with a touch of color. The eyes had a hint of gloss and the lips were slightly rose. Beauty.com celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow used this inspiration to create an “old-world masculinity meets modern day femme” makeup look for the show. Tina was able to achieve the look with several tarte complexion products such …read more
Am I Going To HAVE To Get an iPhone??

I love my Blackberry, I really do. I love all the Google Apps that work flawlessly, I love the camera with zoom and I have a steadfast refusal to turn into a looney Apple fan. I love my pink leather case. But, if they don’t get into the style groove, like the iPhone has been, I am going to have to switch.
Spring 09 Fashion Week starts later this week. I am not going to be there. (That is another gripe for another day.) It would be awfully nice if I had an iPhone and could install the dad …read more

Teri, Shannon and I had a ball at the Lancome Boutique while we were in NYC. Teri has some pictures at Aging Fabulous of the facial room where she and I received a wonderful glycolic peel. The treatment at home just isn’t the same as at the Boutique, I tell you – it was soooo nice. It has been way too long since I have had a wonderful facial. I filmed this video of Lancome’s Resident Makeup Artist, Leo Bare, talking about all of the gorgeous products in their Spring 08 L.U.C.I. collection with Shannon, who writes Makeup Minute. Fashion Week Friday – Victorya Hong’s na·be

Really, since you all know I am not one of these esoteric fashionista types who can analyze fashion down to the nth degree, the most exciting thing I had planned during Fashion Week (besides finally getting to meet so many of my blogging friends, of course!!) was an invite to the “Project Runway Designer” show. Until mid week, after that weeks PR show, it was unannounced which designer it was going to be. I had a gut feeling it was going to be Victorya, my least favorite of the remaining designers, then when she got voted off, I was in …read more
Fashion Week Day 1, Continues – Elizabeth Arden

So after the Red Dress show, some of the gals headed off backstage to Jason Wu, I went back and chilled out a little bit and got ready for a lunch with Lindsey and Suki from my beloved Elizabeth Arden. I’m already (and have been) a great fan of Elizabeth Arden – as I have mentioned plenty of times before, their Double Density mascara is my favorite. They are trying to convince me that their new Ceramide mascara is even greater, but we will see how she fares through the Mascara Wars. Gonna be tough to beat Double Density, but …read more

Ah, after a missed flight yesterday (mechanical issues), I am finally back home – and what a surprise – I am mega behind. I did so many fun things – I should have a months worth of great stuff to tell you about. Some of the greatest stuff, I can’t spill til the end of MARCH though, darn it. But suffice it to say, my excitement about it was akin to seeing Duran Duran in 1984. I am so old. LOL Can’t wait to tell you about it and show you the pics. But later on…
Of course I …read more
