One of the many (many) things you can say about me is that I am a hairbrush snob. I have really thick coarse hair, but am tenderheaded as all get out. I have tried every kind of brush that I can get my hands on in the stores, from natural boar brush (won’t get through my hair) to wire brushes (ouch) to those plastic brushes. This is good basic information from Good Housekeeping about hairbrush types. There are gobs of them these days to choose from, aren’t there?
CUSHION BRUSH – If you have straight or wavy hair of any length, stick with what’s called a “cushion” brush. It’s especially useful for everyday detangling and smoothing. Good Housekeeping recommends the Mason Pearson Junior Hair Brush ($92.50).
