In my shower now – Suave Naturals Lavender Vanilla Calming Body Wash.

It’s infused with lavender + vanilla extracts and also has the very skin-conditioning vitamin E, which all work together in a way that actually does calm not only my skin but my MIND. (Believe it or not. And my head – usually a very scary place.)

As an interesting side note, I noticed after getting out of the shower that I was using the coordinating lavender-vanilla deodorant as well. Me? Monogamy in product lines? Craziness.

Do you sunburn easy?
Probably not as easy as me: I sit in a moving car with closed windows and still burn. It’s utterly insane.
And while I’m way too jaded to believe in any quick fix, the following is tried and true. Recently, Kayla Fioravanti of Essential Wholesale emailed saying that a great healing trick is to apply lavender essential oil to the burned areas.
This is easy to find in any health-related store, and can be applied directly to any area of your skin you wish, or mixed into a cool bath or Aloe Vera gel.

I’ve also tried it on dry skin patches, and it’s soothing there as well! I actually love lavender in general, and have been using it for years. It works great on everything from scarring to stretch marks and is even said to slow wrinkles!

And, it runs like $7 a bottle – so what do you have to lose

I did want the bath to be as enriching as possible, though. And so I found this “recipe” with the help of the National Honey Board. It’s totally worth a try!
