Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss

Were I to be planning a bachelorette party, I’d be all over Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lip Gloss.
This is the cutest thing; it combines guys and gloss! With the tilt of a tube, your well-dressed man will be stripped to his undies (front and rear photos are included for your viewing pleasure!).
The gloss is crème-brulee-scented - something else us ladies know how to appreciate, and in typical Urban Decay awesomeness, the pigment is ultra-high pigmented.
Even better, it contains Hyaluronic Spheres that are known to improve cellular function, prevent dehydration, and fill in lines and wrinkles.
You get to choose your man, too! (I vote for tight-pant James.)

Yes, I have many pink lip glosses!
That doesn’t mean it’s not STILL a beauty bag staple!
So, I was very excited to learn about the new Hiss Good Nite lip gloss.
It’s a shimmery pink shade that is delicate but still sexy and has a very kissable peppermint scent: Even the packaging is adorable!
No matter what your hobbies and schedule, a good pink lipgloss is a beauty staple - no matter what brand or style you choose. Just try it, and you’ll see what I mean.

M·A·C Tricolour Lipglass

I always squeal the loudest when MAC press releases come in. (Interestingly, that applies to both the cosmetic brand and the computer company.)
Anyway…
One of the most recent releases from MAC is totally cool, it’s a tricolor lipglass where a wave of three shades are stacked with varying pearl combinations in one vial!
What does that mean? Buy one product - and try a slightly different shade each time you use it. If you are a creature of habit, you may not be ready for this - but if you need to shake up your style a bit, here’s a great way to ease into it!

Add Cayenne Pepper to your Lip Gloss and More!

Some hot lip tips from Andrea Claire, senior makeup artist with FACE atelier (clients include Alanis Morissette, The Veronicas, and Kelly Rowan)
· If you don’t want your lips to be the first thing people see, limit your use of gloss! Go for a neutral lip shade such as FACE atelier’s Wheat or Latte lipstick.
· For fuller lips, stretch your lips (aka super fake smile )when applying your lip color as this will fill color into every nook and give a plumper look. Top your lip with a reflective lip glaze such as FACE atelier’s Ice.
· To exaggerate lips, mix a dash of cayenne pepper into your gloss. This natural warming effect will temporarily rush the blood to the surface therefore plumping.
Anyone have any hot lip tips??? Please share them here!

Shop Pink in October
By Guest Blogger Kori Ellis, Shoe Blitz
As I’m sure you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Hundreds of companies produce and designate “pink” products with a portion of sales going back to breast cancer related charities such as the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and many others.
You might be surprised that some of the products that you use regularly are part of the promotion. For example, here are three of my personal favorites that are giving back.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
I have used this product for over a dozen years. The special, limited-edition bottle of this best-selling moisturizer is priced at $35 with $10 per bottle sold going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The jumbo-sized bottle comes with a pump and a collectable Pink Ribbon key chain. Available at select Clinique counters around the country.
Elizabeth Hurley High Gloss Lip Color Collection
Three high gloss shades (pearl, pink and rose) come in a limited edition Pink Ribbon case. This set is priced at $16 and just a small part of the Estee Lauder Pink Ribbon Collection, which includes the Evelyn Lauder Lip Collection, a special edition of Beautiful Ead de Parfum Spray and other fantastic items. Estee Lauder is committed to at least at $500,000 donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The products are available at all Estée Lauder counters in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, as well as online at esteelauder.com.
e.l.f.’s Super Glossy Lip Shine in Pink Kiss
The best cheap lip gloss out there, in my opinion, is offering 100% of profits from sales of the Pink Kiss shade to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. And it’s only a dollar!

MAC Dazzleglass - Amazing Iridescent Lip Gloss
April 27, 2008 by Christina Jones

Funny email from my friend with MAC - “I thought I was over the glazed, diamond lip, but this is pretty incredible!” And judging from the main ad image for Dazzleglass, she is definitely right.
I love MAC’s glosses, and I adore the iridescence trend of the spring, so I know these are going to be amazing colors. They have used some different formulations on this gloss than with their lipglasses, so it will definitely be something new and worthy of trying.
MAC has a shipping deal going on right now in conjunction with the launch of Dazzleglass - Free shipping through May 11 - use the code DAZZLE at checkout at MACcosmetics.com. Below are the color choices - and man, I wish I could see what a real person out there looked like with the comet blue/red color shown in the ads.
The Dazzleglass lip colors are $16.50 each and are only available for a limited time. These limited colors NEVER last long on their website, so if you aren’t close to a MAC store (like me, boohoo), better get shopping quick. :) Put me down for Like Venus, Date Night and Bare Necessity.

Essentials from 3 Custom Color Specialists
February 18, 2008 by Christina Jones

I am working hard today editing some of the videos that we did while we were in New York for Fashion Week (yeah, a week or two behind - but its worth the wait, methinks…lol), and watching the video we did with 3 Custom Color Specialists. It has been quite a long time since I have talked about them, but they have been a real favorite for me for a long time, since I discovered them in a long defunct, and still sorely missed, cosmetics boutique in this tiny little town o mine.
So while 3CC is on my mind, I wanted to tell you about a couple of essentials from their product line that never leave my side, and a couple of goodies that are new favorites:
1.
Clarifier Pencils - this is a nude colored soft pencil (available in light or dark) that is absolutely perfect for your waterline and the interior corner of your eye. This will make your eyes look so much bigger and brighter. This is really a big trend now, but 3CC has been doing this for a long time, and doing it right. This can be used as a spot concealer, and and under brow highlighter as well. Get one of these pencils and keep it with you always, you won’t regret it.
2.
I really love my concealer palette from 3CC, but I think a wiser choice for the masses (and for me probably), is their concealer trio. This comes in light-medium, and medium-dark, and this will carry you through the whole year. One interesting thing about the 3CC line is that their concealer is also their foundation. It takes a little getting used to when you first use it, as it has a different feel than most other foundations. You are tempted to use WAY more than you actually need, a little goes a very, very long way. I own the concealer palette, and my two favorite shades separately, but when I’m ready to re-order, the light-medium trio it is.
3.
I am ordering this very soon, as I sure lusted after it when I was in their NY store a couple of weeks ago. This is the Perfectly Pink Lip Gloss Palette (they have other amazing palette colors too). Like I need more lip gloss, I know. But this has every shade under the sun that you might need if you love pink and have a cool skin tone. Honestly it is gorgeous. And $53.50, but I will wear each and every color in this palette until it is gone gone gone.
4.
Cool bronzer - I never knew I could find a bronzer for cool skin. This was the coolest find from our meeting (no pun intended). I have never been a big bronzer fan because they are all warm and orangey, but this one is absolutely perfect for me. I use it for contouring and for quick blush, it is a new favorite, definitely. It comes in a pressed or loose version, but I love their little round compacts so much, pressed is the only option for me.
If you have never had the opportunity to check out 3 Custom Color Specialists, please take a little while to browse their web site. As I said before, I fell in love with them at my local boutique, a precursor to Sephora where they had testers for everything and it was a girly wonderland. One of the things that they do that enchanted me from my first interaction with 3CC is their custom blending. You can send in a chip of a color that you love, and that you might not be able to find anymore, and they will duplicate it for you. That is an awesome service! Their web site is complete, informative and educational (check out their page on Cool vs. Warm), and it was a genuine pleasure to get to meet the charming people behind the brand that I have loved for so long and get to see where they create all of their wonderful goodies. This 38 minutes of video I am working on now (well, will be working on in another minute) is so full of little tips and tricks. I am going to be dividing it up into a bunch of parts, as I know 38 minutes is quite a bit too long, but I will try to keep all of Chad’s wonderful advice and knowledge intact. Stay tuned - hopefully its coming very soon.
Estee Lauder’s New Lip Gloss
May 26, 2006 by Christina Jones
I have been really getting in to lip gloss lately and have tried plenty of the gross, thick, sticky ones that taste disgusting (unfortunately, Shu Uemura’s lip gloss falls in this category - yucko), but have truly fallen in love with Estee Lauder’s brand spanking new High Gloss lipglosses. They are available in beautiful colors (my personal favorite for the summer is 10-Rose, it has a gorgeous gold shimmer to it, reminds me of the beach for some reason), they are reasonably priced (at $16) and they give you that smooth mirror finish that a super gloss should give you these days. They are not sticky at all, and to top it off, they even stay on for longer than the average lip gloss. Now I won’t be silly and try to pass off that they last all day, like the all-day lipsticks - but for a lip gloss, they do pretty darned well. There have been several times I have gone to reapply just because I thought it was time, and it was still there. Love em!!
