M·A·C DSquared Tinted Lip Conditioner

So, my lips have been SUPER dry lately – like, ridiculously – and that’s not sexy.
I was seeking a quick fix, and I found one from my favorite brand – MAC’s new DSquared Tinted Lip Conditioner is just awesome.
Since it’s MAC, it has great shades and awesome packaging. That’s a given.
But the product is fab too, which too is pretty much a MAC given. I just used a few strokes and my lips stayed moist and hydrated for hours – and the coverage is just enough, not too heavy, and not too fleeting.
Give it a try – because dry lips …read more
MAC Zoom Lash – My Favorite Thing Ever
October 6, 2009 by Aly Walansky

I received M.A.C.’s Zoom Lash a good month ago – and I confess I was a little tardy on trying it out.
I finally did yesterday, and I was blown away. Zoom Lash is quite simply, the blackest-black best, most insta-volume mascara I’ve ever used in my entire life.
It’s really hard for me, when testing mascaras, to find those that succeed at the thickening effect, and yet don’t give me the fringe “benefit” of smudge and smear…this so succeeds though. It didn’t clump, and I wore it all day long – and to two events – and it was still perfect …read more
M·A·C ‘Mineralize’ Eyeshadow

More from the awesome M.A.C. newness – check out the Mineralize eyeshadows.
As usual from this line, it’s super-velvety color – but you’ll find these colors to be extra-luxe. They are sophisticated, rich, and just a little bit wild.
I don’t know about you, but I find a little bit of shimmer can positively reinvent the eye.
My favorite shade is young punk – it’s a shimmery purplish black – that I’ve tried as a shadow, but also, applied wet makes an AWESOME liner. Try it – it’s instant night-look.

Would I consider black nail polish?
At one point, I would have said no…but now I can’t imagine having felt that way!
MAC’s Style Black isn’t just black nail polish – though that is an option – but what it is is a super-hot mix of product that is largely inspired by the concept of black.
I will be covering other aspects of the launch in some very soon to come blog posts – but I love a lot of it – but for now, I want you to take a second to consider why you need to own this polish. Imagine the …read more
M.A.C. Tattoo Makeup at Rodarte

Normally I’m not really a body art sort of girl…but it truly IS art, I need to take notice.
This week, at the Rodarte runway show, M.A.C. designed Maori-inspired geometric tattoo makeup – meant to evoke the feeling of a futuristic tribe.
The result? Ridiculously hot.
“The idea for the tattoos stemmed from Kate and Laura’s desire to celebrate makeup as art not only for the face, but also for the body in a similar way that Indian culture uses henna. They want women to look at makeup as an accessory for an outfit the way you would a bracelet or a …read more
M·A·C Starflash Eyeshadow

Back in 1998, In Style awarded MAC’s Starflash with the best eyeshadow award…and now, my all-time favorite shade is back!
The shade is super pearly, and very intense — especially on my coloring, and when paired with my favorite black liner.
By adding the astro-creamy, rich and frosted shadow, you sort of create an awesome eye supernova. It’s fab. Frosty whites are huge this season – you’ll even see Madonna wearing a variant on her current tour – but I’ve loved the shade since even before it was a trend. It’s just super flattering!

Sexy eyes are a make or break in the dating scene. (Not to say I know ANYTHING about what works in the dating scene, clearly, but I know what looks good.)
I’m off to Montauk this morning, and I really want to look sexy – look what’s in my overnight bag!
Made exclusively for Nordstrom, MAC’s Rose Is a Rose is an exclusive compact of four shades that are very flirty and floral – but because it’s MAC – have a touch of edginess to them.
Included are the limited-edition shades Seeds of Love and Petal Worship, and encores Solar White and Contrast …read more

If you are looking to update your scent this season, M·A·C Creations Hue: Dejarose is a perfect spring fragrance.
It’s totally romantic and mingles Bulgarian, Turkish and Tea Roses with the essence of orchid, lily, jasmine and peony to create a rosy retro-scent.
I love the sexy playfulness of it – and the bottle is perfectly cute and compact as well!

M·A·C Prep + Prime Finishing Powder

There’s just about no MAC product I don’t love.
No matter what our favorite cosmetic product, though, they all require a good finishing powder to set the look. And my new finishing powder is MAC’s Prep + Prime.
Sometimes finishing powders can create a dry look – this is not a good thing – but this one went on pretty silky, but still helped to reduce shine and set my makeup. It also looked fine on bare skin (just remember to use a moisturizer first!).
