Coconut Frosting Salt Scrub
Philosophy’s Coconut Frosting lets you pamper your skin with refreshing sea salt, which exfoliates and rejuvenates rough, flaky skin. Natural extracts help moisturize and soften, leaving skin silky smooth and smelling of creamy, dreamy coconut frosting.
Do you notice how sometimes it would feel extremely hot and humid just before it rains? You’d often feel extra sticky and icky, wanting to jump into the shower so bad. Perhaps some of you would prefer to run a bath so you can spend a longer time cooling yourself and yes, relaxing all the same.

I love soap bars. I can’t really explain why. I guess taking showers or baths have something to do with it. I love trying out bars that will make these events luxuriously soothing and relaxing.
And one of the soap bars I recently tried is the Olay Body Ultra Moisture Soap with Shea Butter. It’s because I want to maximise the Olay Body In-Shower Body Lotion. It recommended that I either use the Olay body wash or this soap bar.

It’s not really that big. The pack included two (2) white bars. The actual soap box looked like this:

On the day I went and photographed few of the temples found in the Angkor region in Cambodia, I’m thankful that I had put on sun block esp when it got to mid-day. Even when I was under the shade, I can still feel the heat scorching my skin. The weather felt so dry and hot PLUS there were areas wherein twas dusty. Sun wasn’t all too friendly then. Heh.
I had packed with me the Nivea Sun Moisturising Sun Spray. Apart from the easy grip bottle, application is really easy. I’ve always loved sprays. Hehe. Sure, it was a bit bulky in my bag but I sacrificed size over usability and efficiency, not to mention, it being effective, too.
One thing I’d learned about applying sunscreen or sun block is that you do need to apply generous amounts on certain areas of the skin that are prone to sun burn since it’s more exposed or you have history of skin getting burnt easily. AND you do need to re-apply it frequently but will depend on the length of time that your skin will be exposed.
Fine print: Shake well before use. Avoid contact with eyes.
Dear beauties, I do advise that you protect your skin at all times. When it comes to sun exposure, we can never be too careful.
Available at Nivea.co.uk and I bought mine from First Aid, Greenbelt 3, Makati City.

Get Intense Moisture Supply with Laneíge

I’ve heard that if there’s one Laneíge product that one should try it’s the one under their Special Line, Water Sleeping Pack.
Laneíge
Water Sleeping Pack Plus
A feather-light, leave-on gel mask applied just before bedtime. Water Sleeping Pack Plus penetrates the skin immediately upon application; infusing it with a concentrated supply of moisture while you sleep. Skin is lustrously revitalized the next day!
Active ingredients Vitamin E Acetate (stabilised Vitamin E) protects the skin against UV damage and environmental stresses while yeast extract Toniskin encourages the skin to mend and tone itself. Bio HE, a unique ingredient derived from collagen which holds up to several hundred times its own weight in moisture, feeds the skin a continuous supply of moisture.
Suggested Application:
- After washing the face apply the skin refiner and emulsion.
- Take the proper amount (2.5cm in diameter) and evenly spread it over the entire face.
- Leave it on for 20 minutes. To make sure that the mask is completely absorbed.
- Go to bed leaving it intact.
- The following morning, use a usual cleansing foam to rinse the face.
- After washing the face apply the skin refiner and emulsion.
Some have swore to its effectiveness in hydrating their skin, leaving their skin softer and effects can be seen the morning after. It’s suggested that you apply it 2 or 3 times a week. They claim that it doesn’t cause breakouts and is safe on almost all skin types.
Where to buy it?

Dove Soap, Gentle Exfoliating

Speaking of soaps, if there are luxury soaps to be had, there are economical ones. Of course, when I say economical that doesn’t mean we’re sacrificing the quality cuz, hey, we’re talking about something you use to take care of the largest organ of your body and general hygiene!
Dove is a brand that I’ve grown to trust. I love most of their bath products. I use Dove facial foams, liquid soap and soap bars. I always love how my skin feels and smells after every use. And I haven’t really experienced my skin drying from usage, hence, the trust.
I would often switch from this soap, Gentle Exfoliating, to Dove’s Beauty Bar. Reason being is that sometimes I want more moisture, which is found in the latter and, of course, exfoliation is one of the major to-do’s in my beauty regimen. The former offers moisture together with the exfoliating factor.
Do you guys have favourites of your own when it comes to bar soaps? That is if you use bars. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Dove Cool Moisture Foaming Facial Cleanser
This foaming facial cleanser works into a rich lather that deeply cleans and moisturizes your skin. Gently cleanses tired, stressed skin and leaves your face refreshed and hydrated.
I’ve been using this facial foam for weeks now. Actually, I use two different foams, one is for exfoliation purposes from Pond’s (which I’ll probably tell you guys about in a later post) and this one from Dove, which mainly addresses my need to moisturise, and hydrate my skin. I reckon I already mentioned just how frequent I wash my face in a day. With the rate I’m going, I don’t want to scrub my skin too much with the other facial scrub that’s why I opt to have one that doesn’t have the beads in it.
