Coming with me shall be NARS new Day and Night Palette, a 6-well collection of shimmering and sparkling eyeshadow shades.

My goal is to be able to be sophisticated by day – it IS a business trip after all – and sexy and sassy by night – ya know, in case I meet my soul mate in a Macau casino.

The colors are highly pigmented, which means a hot punch of color, and they also last for hours without creasing – even more fabulous because I have a packed schedule.

So, wish me luck! Next stop: Choosing which shoes to pack.

Well, I agree. But I think foundation doesn’t end there in importance. I think the right foundation on your face is equally paramount.

Right now, on my face is NARS Sheer Matte Foundation.

It has a sheer glow finish (hence the name), and has buildable coverage without being weighty. This helps it to do the job it’s meant to do: it enhances, not masks, your complexion.

The result? I’m feeling pretty luminous!

I try mascaras day in and day out — as we speak, I am brushing it on with General Hospital in the background – and way too many are a lash fail.

But I am in love with NARS Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara. It delivers both the length I am looking for, but also the all-important definition and separation that is crucial to not looking bumpy and clumpy.

IT has high-tech bristles that do the dirty work, but is comprised of nylon fibers cling to lashes for extra length, and is made with macadamia nut oil and Vitamin E to help power them up! That makes them look extra supple?

The result? My lashes are super long and just a tad sexy…exactly the look I am going for!

It’s actually more than a duo, because aside from containing a best-selling blush/bronzer set, it also contains Orgasm nail polish – meaning that your face and nails can match.

Note, it’s not NORMALLY necessary for your cheeks/nails to be the same color. (Especially if you are embracing the eggplant trend!) But when both are this fun sun-kissed glow, then I am all for it. Plus, it’s NARS…you know it’s going to be good!

I have to say here that I am not nearly as enthused about Smashbox as she is. My uber primer was one from days gone by, from a French cosmetics company, Payot. It was indeed primer perfection for me, and I haven’t had any in years now, and cannot find it anymore (probably just a product re-working and I don’t know what it is called!). The Smashbox primer is chock full of silicone, and that just plain old feels weird on my face. I feel like it is clogging my pores like nobodys business. However, after reading all of these incredibly good reviews of primers, I am going to get out my Smashbox primer again, and give it a real test to see what I think. I haven’t heard one bad review of it yet, so I think I am just holding a grudge against that scary silicone. I also have another primer in my arsenal that I need to review, and will get after that too, maybe next week.
