Amy Adams at the Oscars

When CoverGirl Makeup Artist Molly R. Stern did Amy Adams’ makeup for the Academy awards last night, she said her inspiration was “A cross between Talouse Latrec’s dancing girls and the watercolor feeling of a Gustav Klimt painting.”
OK there. Well, whatever, she looked really pretty! Molly gave us a step by step of how we can create this look on our own, at home.

Spring 2006 Makeup: Bobbi Brown

After seeing the makeup trends at the Oscars, I am going to start showing the artist’s visions of Spring 2006, starting with Pink Sugar, by Bobbi Brown.  Bobbi’s step by step to create this look can be found at her web site, here.  A great and handy item from Bobbi for the spring is her Pink Sugar Palette (shown below), available at her website for a very affordable $50!

Some of the Oscar-night bad beauty

Here are some of my picks for worst makeup:
Giovanna Mezzogiorno – smokey eyes gone terribly, terribly wrong:

Samantha Harris wearing last years face:

Keira Knightley had makeup and hair issues, IMO.  Hair looks like a bad attempt to go from dark to blonde.  Not to mention the baaaaad do:

And Lisa, LISA.  I think you are so beautiful, but ease up on the makeup and the trout pout – the collagen is oozing!!
