NARS Day and Night Palette

I’m currently packing my bags – leaving for China in a bit! As I will be there for a while – and I’m I’m trying to limit my baggage to one suitcase, I’m seeking cosmetics that get a big job done in a tiny package.

Coming with me shall be NARS new Day and Night Palette, a 6-well collection of shimmering and sparkling eyeshadow shades.

My goal is to be able to be sophisticated by day – it IS a business trip after all – and sexy and sassy by night – ya know, in case I meet my soul mate in a Macau casino.

The colors are highly pigmented, which means a hot punch of color, and they also last for hours without creasing – even more fabulous because I have a packed schedule.

So, wish me luck! Next stop: Choosing which shoes to pack.

Tarte Miss Fix-It Palette

Tarte is one of those fabulous brands that no only has great shades made from all-natural ingredients, but they also come in cool packaging and are kind to the environment.

So, obviously, I’m almost predestined to like their new launches!

Exclusively for Beauty.com, Tarte just released their Miss Fix-It Palette.

It’s a great little kit for when you are touching-up at work, pre-date, and need the basic essentials.

Included are champagne, turquoise, purple, and teal eyeshadow lipglosses in lilac and pink, and a luminizer – how fabulous is even the presentation??? I’m in love.

Lancôme Color Design Palette

I love the shades (and possibilities) in Lancome’s new Color Design Palette.

It is a compact of sexy shimmers and mattes that you can easily mix and match to create your ideal day-to-night look. These come in a few different palettes, and are pretty traditional shades but the variance in texture really do make a difference.

Note: Do not be one of those people who buy a compact like this and use the same color over and over. It sort of defies the point, and is pretty darn wasteful!

SEPHORA PURE Natural 7-Color Palette

I think I’ve waxed poetic more than enough about my love of a good shadow palette.

I feel like having all you need for a variety of looks in one place makes it way more likely we’ll take that plunge and TRY a new look. It ain’t like in this economy many of us are going to go out and buy a dozen shadows separately, right?

Even if you will, it gets way easier when you don’t have to, and with Sephora brand’s new PURE National 7-color palette, you get six wearable shades of shadows (good for day and night) and a pink blush shade that is friendly to many skin tones. Will these be looks everyone likes? Maybe not…but if they are your colors, why not give it a whirl?
