Believe me, I’m not a fan of the colour, Pink, but it seems to be following me endlessly!
Since I showed you my vanity table, I knew I had to show you the en suite. There’s a funny story behind it.
It wasn’t my choice that they had put on pink tiles. Actually, re-tiling the toilet & bath in my room wasn’t part of the renovation plans. It all happened by accident.

The tiles chipped and broke while it was subjected to heavy cleaning — probably due to age — hence, the need for new tiles. As for the pink tiles, my mum originally bought it for her own use. She wanted it installed in her bathroom but instead of replacing her marble bathroom and tub (!), they were able to replace the lavatory and such without damaging it. There you go. That’s why I got the pink tiles.

I didn’t want a pink room! I had the walls painted white and am determined to use dark, mahogany-type furnishings to match the custom-made bed frame I had bought last year and simply alternate on white, cream, brown for neutrals and green, blue and yellow for colours. Altering my original plan to accommodate the new colour, now I’ll be playing with plum, lavander, green and yellow combination, i.e. sheets, cushions and curtains. Ah, well. I digress.

Anyway.

I noticed that the pink packaging of my new haircare system, L’Oreal Elsève Nutri-Gloss Haircare System, Pearl Protein, matches my toilet & bath! I had found it so adorable that I had picked up my camera just to snap a photo.

So there, another look into my small beauty world. I’m hoping you guys would be interested to show me a bit of yours, too! Send a photo, tell me a bit about it and I’ll feature it. You can send it to sasha[@]b5media[.]com. Hope to hear from you!

From recommendations and reviews, this haircare system has created high expectations.

Reading the label of each product, I learned that out of the three, it’s only the Care Shampoo that gives me the usual apply and rinse instruction. The Daily Rinse-Out Treatment should be used after shampooing and before applying a conditioner. And the Intensive Shine Mask ought to be left alone for two (2) minutes before rinsing it out. So, does this mean that I really have to use all three?

One suggestion was I can choose to either use the treatment or the mask, not necessarily both. But to fully optimise the system’s effectiveness, I ought to use all three, yea? Or will my experiment prove that it’s all marketing hype to get you to buy them all?

So far, I find the scent of Elsève very appealing. Fruity, creamy notes. Not too overpowering. I’ll have to see if it’ll work well with my hair and natural oils. As for the packaging, I’m not a fan of pink but it works. A bit copy heavy, though. Long names and too much words make up the description, seemingly like L’Oreal is out-selling itself. Heh.

What’s with the “New Light Reflecting Booster”? Isn’t the Pearl Protein ingredient enough then? Anyway, this pink one is for Dull Hair, Lacking Shine types. I reckon there are two more options. I failed to note which hair types they were for. Perhaps I’ll update you guys the next time I spot them again. Interestingly, you can’t find marketing collaterals on this product line over at the L’Oreal Paris website.

Full review on the L’Oreal Elsève Nutri-Gloss Haircare System, Pearl Protein to follow. Stay tuned for that.

Meanwhile, any of you beauties have tried this haircare system out? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
