The Makeup Perfect Smoothing Compact Foundation SPF 15
Shiseido The Makeup Perfect Smoothing Compact Foundation SPF 15 is formulated with micro-coating technology and a flexible smoothing powder to glide evenly over all skin, even the driest types.
I wonder if using a powder foundation will work on my skin. I’m currently using a liquid foundation and it works fine, in terms of coverage. But I still can’t help but consider using a foundation in powder. I had considered it before.

One of the main considerations in choosing a foundation (personal choice, btw) is to determine whether it will look cake-y. Instead of hiding lines, the product might define it even more. But since it says that this one from Shiseido, The Makeup Perfect Smoothing Compact Foundation SPF 15, is an ultra-fine powder, is it safe to assume that it won’t? It also says that it has this beautiful, smooth texture.

Another thing that I worry about is the ease in application. Wouldn’t the powder clump together if applied over your moisturiser or sunscreen? I’m guessing it suggests that you skip the sunscreen part since it already has SPF 15. Is that a wise move? Would you trust it, powder and all, for sun protection?

The compact foundation claims that it’ll provide medium coverage with smooth and beautiful finish. So, any of you guys have given this product a go? Do let us know. I’m utterly curious.

The case ($9) and re-fill ($30), available in 10 shades, are sold separately over at Sephora.

For now, experimenting on a powder foundation is put on hold until I get my hands on this one or find something worth looking into. I’m also open for suggestions!
