Benefit Powders Sale at Sephora

I have a thing for Benefit Cosmetics – always have, always will: And it’s largely because there’s adorable packaging, and within, a fabulous product.
But when the product is also at a extra-great price, it becomes a done deal. Right now, for a limited time, at Sephora, you can get the Lust Dusters Trio for $10.
Lust Dusters is a special collection of three shimmering loose powders for the eyes and face. It creates an awesome – yet natural – luminous glow that you can put anywhere – your lids for totally showoff eyes or cheeks for a touch of glimmer.

Double-Ended Perfect Complexion Brush

It’s usually my goal to get brushes that can multi-task, so one that has two ends? Well, that makes things even easier!
Sephora Brand Double-Ended Perfect Complexion Brush is fabulous – it’s a super high-quality two-in-one brush that can do foundation on one side, and powders on the other!
This simple-as-pie duality is a reason it was a must-have in my vacation-packing.  I like to use one side for cream and fluid foundation and the other side for powders.
Plus, um, it’s pink!

Illamasqua Powder Eye Shadow

I love deep, edgy shades of shadow, and have found a true winner.
Illamasqua’s Powder Eye Shadow is sexy as hell.
Each shade has rich pigments and smooth texture that are sure to get you noticed, no matter where you are. I am partial to the preen (matte purple) shown – but there’s a rainbow of colors – perfect for whatever your personality.
My favorite part though is the texture – not only does it LOOK rich, but it FEELS rich – which is the most luxe aspect of all.

Double-Ended Grab’n Go Brush

While I obviously have a full (OK, several full) set of brushes, I love when I can find a good one that can do several tasks at once.
Sephora Brand Double-Ended Grab’n Go Brush is a two-in-one powder and eyeshadow brush that I just love.
I spent a lot of time running around from meeting to meeting, often with the need for a quick touch-up. As I prefer not to carry around a million beauty tools in my bag, this is a brilliant solution for one applicator of powder and eye makeup.
Plus, check out the great color scheme – orange fibers? Black …read more

Waxing, Part Deux

I used the Parissa Wax Strips again last night – I am still loving them!
Heidi left a comment yesterday about how they left a sticky residue on her arms. This can be a potential issue with all waxes – one way you can battle this is to lightly coat your skin with some talc powder. This also helps with pain a lot, because half of the pain from waxing comes from pulling the top layer of your skin off with the wax. If you use powder, it provides a barrier between the wax and your …read more
