I’m super fair-skinned, so what appears to blend in and conceal on others stands out like a street lamp on me.

Check it out: That's me at left (obviously), Lauren Luke in the center, and at right, my bud Allie.

This location will be selling the makeup palettes of Youtube video-blogger/make-up artist Lauren Luke, and she was the guest of honor last night.

The new location is fabulous – it’s huge – and they sell some lines that you won’t find at other Sephoras – even the one, say, around the corner from this location.

(Yes, Sephora has become the Starbucks of beauty.)

Lauren is sort of the “me” of England. Except she has like 30 million fans. But basically a year ago she was a beauty blogger who lived with her dogs and parents and then one day had her teeth fixed by a posh cosmetic dentist, and the confidence helped her to claim a whole new life.

And now we are both on our own with fabulous teeth and fabulous lives. Except she’s like the most famous person on YouTube.

The event last night also launched her new makeup kits, and I got to try out the Vintage Glam! I’m going to share a how-to video of Lauren telling you how to use it – and then I’ll show you a pic of ME with it on as soon as I get more pix sent to me.  But it’s basically a palette of everything you need – shadows, lip color, primers, blush, even liner – for $32. That’s crazy value – and all the colors work great together!
