Finally, a reward for laziness!

As we enter 2009, many of us have made the same beauty resolutions as we seem to make every year – lose weight, look and feel better, renew the appearance of skin, etc. – just now, we seem to be looking for new, less expensive way to achieve these goals.
If renewing skin to a youthful glow is on your mind, but not in your pocketbook, the SkinGlow bedding collection is a pretty fine answer. The copper-infused fabric is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet in just four weeks of use! How wild …read more

Today’s New York Times: “Toxic Bedrooms”

Beauty begins with a good night’s sleep. Perhaps the best beauty item may be the mattress. The New York Times article, “The Stuffing that Dreams are made of?” quotes Walter Bader, the author of “Toxic Bedrooms: Your Guide to a Safe Night’s Sleep” (Freedom Publishing, 2007).

The Campaign to Eliminate Lip Wrinkles

Oh, just an update here – I am still well on my campaign – 16 days and counting in fact. I would like to have a new lip wrinkle, but alas there are none around, and I am not going to buy a whole pack of lip wrinkles just for one. My creative juices are very lightly flowing, but I still feel nowhere near back to normal, and in addition, I can’t sleep at night to save my life. I have tried sleeping pills, exercise, reading, working SuDoku puzzles – everything I know – but still don’t …read more

The Beauty of Sleep

Ask just about any natural beauty what their beauty secrets are and one of them will be “Getting plenty of rest.” Not only does a lack of sleep cause temporary dark circles and bags under your eyes, but it also interferes with your body’s natural repair and maintenance system which is hard at work while your body is sleeping. This alone is a great reason to not skip your nighttime skin care routine and be sure and give your skin all of the necessary goodies it needs to do the best maintenance job it can!

Not feeling so beautiful today!

Ugh what a night I have had – was up all night with a kitty having stillborn kittens. Nothing beautiful about that, let me tell you – and it has left me feeling more than icky this morning. The circle of life is always in action around here. I will try to get pumped back up to talk about more hair removal this afternoon, but for now I am going to take a nap (Kitty is at the vet now) and leave you with a happier picture of my 2 day old colt (he was one day …read more

Jennifer Lopez Beauty Secrets

You might think JLo would have a list of favorite products a mile long, and costly as well, but she summed up her beauty regime pretty easily and quickly at contactmusic.com:
Lopez says, “Sleep is my weapon. I try to get eight hours a night. I think what works best is sleep, water – and a good cleanser.”
