Whether it’s fatigue or just plain stress, we all need some brightening and highlighting sometimes.
I love this double-ended brightener By Smashbox, it highlights and brightens in one quick step for eyes that will demand far more notice than your 6-hours of sleep and 12-hours in front of the keyboard may feel they deserve.
It’s purse-sized, too, which is a bigger deal than you may think. Droning away at work all day and have a hot date at night, this is a great way for a quick pick-me-up!

One of the biggest lasting trends is the classic smoky eye.
While most try to achieve this look using just eye shadow, the best thing you can do is try a cream-to-powder shadow liner.
That’s where the Waterproof Shadow Liner Duo comes in. This is an awesome cream shadow that is totally waterproof and crease-resistant, and lets you create soft, smoky definition in one quick step.
This is truly the modern way to emphasize your eyes, it works in two ways: as a smudged liner or as an allover shadow, making it a great wallet-friendly beauty box addition.

I have had my tube of Smashbox O-Gloss for a couple of months now, it really takes me a while to decide on whether I *really* love a new product or not. I feel safe to say, as I put it on my rebuy list, that this O-Gloss has really become a staple in my bag. As a mother and (swear) a soccer mom, I am always running around here to there, half made up (or worse). The O-Gloss is quick, small, and *oh so* convenient for giving me some good lip where there is none.

If you aren’t familiar with Smashbox’s “O” products, the special thing about them is that they start off clear and after a few moments on your skin, they turn into a lovely shade that looks like a natural flush. I can’t speak for how it works for you, but it really works outstanding for me. The color is a perfect clear pink that I adore. The beneficial/active ingredients in O-Gloss are: Gogi-Berry-C Complex, Ginko biloba, Marine plankton, Pomegranite seed and Avocado oil. Yum.

You can get O-Gloss and its sister product for the cheeks, O-Glow (which I haven’t tried yet, because I have somewhat of an aversion to cream/liquid products on my cheeks due to their tendency to get clogged pores), at Sephora. O-Gloss is $22, O-Glow is $26. Anyone out there paranoid about cheek pores that has tried the O-Glow? It is a gel, it will *probably* be fine, but inquiring minds want to know.

LOL We missed the early show, but they will be on again today at 1-2pm and 10-11pm EST. The new primer with sunscreen (!!) is $42, and I bet you can go anytime today and get it at QVC.com, or get it through Sephora by clicking on the picture.

Perricone is offering free shipping on your $75+ order, which shouldn’t be hard to do if you are placing an order for anything!

Smashbox is offering a free velvet ropes duo eyeshadow (pictured) with a $50 order, by adding the code FRMESD3 at checkout. This I can do. Great time to try their new primer with SPF!! This offer is only good through April 12, so hurry!

I have to say here that I am not nearly as enthused about Smashbox as she is. My uber primer was one from days gone by, from a French cosmetics company, Payot. It was indeed primer perfection for me, and I haven’t had any in years now, and cannot find it anymore (probably just a product re-working and I don’t know what it is called!). The Smashbox primer is chock full of silicone, and that just plain old feels weird on my face. I feel like it is clogging my pores like nobodys business. However, after reading all of these incredibly good reviews of primers, I am going to get out my Smashbox primer again, and give it a real test to see what I think. I haven’t heard one bad review of it yet, so I think I am just holding a grudge against that scary silicone. I also have another primer in my arsenal that I need to review, and will get after that too, maybe next week.

Along with my order on its way from Sephora is the non-bronzing Photo Finish from Smashbox, which I am anxious to try, as I have heard it is quite good. I lovvvvvvvvvve foundation primers, they really have a way of smoothing out your face before foundation application that even a good moisturizer just can’t do. More about that coming up!

One more Smashbox goodie: If you shop at Smashbox.com before February 15th and spend $50, enter the code VALGIFT3 at checkout and receive this cute kit:
