Have fun in the sun this summer and still look good by following these simples summer beauty tips.
Lighten up on the makeup.
You don’t need to wear as much makeup in the summertime as you do in the cooler weather. Put aside your foundation and instead reach for a tinted moisturizer or bronzer instead. One of my favorite tinted moisturizers is from Laura Mercier. It’s lightweight and contains SPF 20 for sun and anti-aging protection.

Summertime might as well be renamed “Smudging Time” as far as I’m concerned. It’s a common sight of summer – the heat and humidity can wipe out an entire face full of makeup lickety-split. But if there is one makeup essential I refuse to leave my domain without, it’s mascara. Seriously, my lashes (which are loooong, but sparse) disappear without it. Summertime Makeup Advice

Julyne over at my fave About.com has a few recommendations for summertime makeup – mostly “Don’t Overload.”
You know the look: Pancake foundation, clown-ish blush & tarantula eyelashes, the black eyeliner a half an inch thick [ha ha ha ha ha!]. We believe that in summertime the average woman needs only:
1. Sunscreen (our pick: La Roche Posay)
2. A concealer for undereye circles & blemishes
3. A tinted moisturizer (our favorite: Bobbi Brown)
4. Mascara (Lancome rules)
5. A light colored lipstick or gloss
6. Soft eyeshadow shades for nighttime
7. Self-tanner (we prefer Clarins)
