Red Alert: Are you as obsessed with Tarte Cosmetics as me?
Log onto Gilt Groupe tomorrow – there’ll be a Tarte sale!
I have not been privy to any inside gossip, but you have to assume pretty steep discounts and limited quantities – that much is a given! Sale starts Monday (tomorrow) August 3rd at 9AM (PST)/ 12PM (EST).
I don’t know what products will be on sale, but I know I love Tarte, and I love their message of earth-friendly products in great textures and colors.

Tarte is one of those fabulous brands that no only has great shades made from all-natural ingredients, but they also come in cool packaging and are kind to the environment.
So, obviously, I’m almost predestined to like their new launches!
Exclusively for Beauty.com, Tarte just released their Miss Fix-It Palette.
It’s a great little kit for when you are touching-up at work, pre-date, and need the basic essentials.
Included are champagne, turquoise, purple, and teal eyeshadow lipglosses in lilac and pink, and a luminizer – how fabulous is even the presentation??? I’m in love.

I was chatting with my gal pal earlier, and she’s trying to convince me to spend a lot of time by the water on our upcoming getaway. While, obviously, my main concern is my celluite being near said watery conditions, I am concerned about my makeup!
Since it is summer, and probably many of you are way more mature about such matters than me, you are probably looking for some hot waterproof looks of your own. Check out this fun video from Tarte, offering a tutorial of their waterproof wonders including eyeQuatic.
The EyeQuatic set includes three mermaid-inspired lock & roll creaseless …read more

So, upon leaving the beach–and seeing pictures, I have come to the conclusion I am ever so slightly fat.
A little known truth, though, is that a good tan can mask cellulite and make you look thinner. But it’s hard for me to go the tanning route naturally–I always just plain burn!
Tarte’s new CelluFIGHT Anti-Celluite Self-Tanner is fab – it’s a hydrating, gradual self-tanner that also has an anti cellulite ability.
i.e.: It does everything I need in one adorable tube!
Basically, it uses plant and bionutrient extracts to help to cellular metabolism, and shed excess fat tissue while the caffeine helps stimulate …read more

Viral marketing is the best thing that ever happened to the Internet – and sometimes it results in great educational tools for us beauty buffs.
Tarte just released some awesome tutorial videos to YouTube – a great step-by-step guide to how to use some of their most popular products.
My favorite one so far is the cheek stain how-to video, this is especially true since I am a beauty editor and have always had problems knowing how to best use my stains. Now I can just COPY them! I love the Internet. Check it out:
Pay careful attention: It’s about DABBING, not rubbing. …read more
Tarte at Fall ‘09 Fashion Week

Tarte adorned the faces of the super-hot models for Abaeté’s Fall ‘09 runway last week.
Abaeté’s Laura Poretzky says she was inspired by Les Incroyables, a group of gentlemen who formed in the 18th Century after the French Revolution.
The look was all about a monochromatic, dewy complexion with a touch of color. The eyes had a hint of gloss and the lips were slightly rose. Beauty.com celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow used this inspiration to create an “old-world masculinity meets modern day femme” makeup look for the show. Tina was able to achieve the look with several tarte complexion products such …read more

Tarte, of the cheek stain fame, has a great collection of double ended lipglosses
