Fragrance in Fives

Last hurrah for this month’s blog of the month, The Scented Life, and my way of celebrating it is to ask you guys what are five (5) of your favourite fragrances. They don’t have to be strictly perfumes. They can also be colognes and such. Just have fun listing them! I reckon this would be a great way to discover new scents that you may not have thought of trying, esp when someone has told you a little about them.

aura science, phase four cleanse foam

Cleanse
Foam

Foam for normal skin.
Reveal. Gently clears impurities.
Replenish. Helps keep skin hydrated.
Relax. Lather foam in wet hands, massage over wet skin. Rinse well, then follow with Phase Four Prep and Hydrate.

Reveal. Replenish. Relax. I guess this makes the Aura Science skin care process a bit more easy to remember. The product is made in Japan (so it says on the tube) but is distributed in the US alone. Selected states to boot. I guess this explains why I know so little about the brand.

Aura Science is a new concept in beauty forged ahead by The Limited, Inc. (the folks responsible for fashionable stores such as The Limited, Express, & Victoria’s Secret) and cosmetics giant, Shiseido! (Source: backstagebeauty.net)

Yes, I had to look it up. I honestly had no idea what aura science was and what other products they have under their wing. Yes, they offer stuff like eye creams, hydrating masks, nail enamels and makeup.

According to BackstageBeauty.net, Aura Science Skin Care is broken into four groups: Phase One (Dry) Phase Two (Normal/Dry), Phase Three (Normal/Oily) and Phase Four (Oily). Which I find confusing, actually. Cuz right there on the tube, it said it’s a foam for normal skin. Yes, it’s phase four. I reckon I need to check the other three phases to make sure. Sigh. If only they had a website. If you can help me figure it out, so much better.

I had hoped to ask someone else (preferably someone with oily skin) would give this product a go. However, since it did say twas for normal skin, I reckon I will get around to experimenting, too. I’ll let you guys know.

Right now, Aura Science is only available in malls in Ohio, Virginia, Illinois, New Jersey, and Maryland. Mum brought it home from Ohio.

I also wonder if Aura Science is still around. I read stuff that the brand had a major pullout from the market. I’m not quite certain if the stuff I read are reliable. AND I haven’t found anything that’s not too dated.

Strawberry, Champagne, and Cassis

Refresh with fragrance from a Secret Garden, infused with moisturizing Aloe Vera and calming Chamomile. Mist over body after shower or bath for delicately scented skin.

My younger brother came home last night with a huge box full of goodies and one of the things I got is this Refreshing Body Mist from Victoria’s Secret in Strawberries and Champagne scent.

I actually had a choice from three other scents but I opted for this one since it’s the same scent as the lotion I’m currently using. Whatta coincidence, eh? I have to thank my lucky stars. Hehe.

I do love this scent. It’s fruity and delicate. It’s not overpowering and nauseatingly heavy. I’ve been using this scent for quite a bit now. Well, at least, whenever I feel like the need to use lotion or if it’s not too warm to apply it, that is.

I so love getting girl-y gifts. Thanks, bro! Heehee.

Beauty Gift: I know Victoria’s Secret

Here’s another prezzy received and this time they shared Victoria’s Secret. This line of colognes or body splashes have been circulating the market for quite sometime now and that’s not to say they’re no longer hitting the right spot or nostril for that matter, it’s just that after all the hype and oh-so-popular stage, it dies down a whole lot. But, yea, they’re still in business.

Amber Romance is a favourite since back early 2000. I love the sweet, rich Vanilla scent it has. I used to wear this cologne all the time but later on switched to their body lotions in a more fruity scent, i.e. then Pretty in Pink and now Strawberries and Champagne.
