The Bare Truth: Hair Removal Techniques

As it starts to get warmer out, we may be showing a lot more skin. Showing this skin means making sure said flesh is smooth and silky. (What man wants to be caressing your thigh and hit stubble? Exactly.)
However, how you remove your hair is up to you! There’s many options. These include:
Shaving
It’s the old, affordable, standby. You can buy a disposable razor for under $10, and take care of business yourself in the shower. Then again, you may also get nicks and blood shed…way less attractive!
Laser on, Laser off

Sugaring vs. Waxing

Do you know about sugaring? It is basically the same thing as waxing – with two main differences – no heat required, and easy to wash away mess. The concept is the same as waxing – spread a thick sticky substance over your skin, apply a strip, and zip it off. Works great!

I love Waxing!

I have been a die-hard waxer for a lot of years now. I have used many different waxing product lines and methods over the years – and there are quite a few out there. Of course, working in a salon, there was always the wax in the electric warmer, in the waxing room that was available. That is the best way, with a dedicated setup – it is easy and contains the mess in one area. That, to me, is the biggest drawback to home waxing – rarely do you have a good place to do …read more

Are you hirsute?

I just learned this word, hirsute, about 6 months ago – my husband thought I was nuts. And I thought it was a little nuts too, being that I am a little bit on the hirsute side myself and have been dealing with removing all of that hair for a good chunk of my life now.
Along with the blessing of a thick head of hair, I also have very hairy legs, arms and cheeks (and now under my chin as I have aged). I have been removing all of this regularly for quite some time, …read more
