This weekend, while we were covering St. Louis Fashion Week, Allie and I took part in a lot of completely unrelated local fun – including spray tans!
Well, I lie. She spray tanned. I watched, giggled, and sipped a martini.
The truth is, I was scared. Have you ever seen a pale white-as-snow girl with a fake tan? Generally, it looks like she bathed in pumpkin juice. As we were an hour from going to a fashion event, I was not about to subject myself to that risk.

The brrrrrrr quality of the weather is no excuse to have sickly pale skin. In fact, it’s the best excuse ever to self-tan!

Not to say I won’t find another one this year that I like better, but for me, hands down, Xen-Tan is the best self tanner (non airbrush)- this is my 2nd year running with it.  I use GlowFusion gun and solution sometimes, the gun is great but the solution is subtle – if I need a tan now, Xen-Tan is the one.  I have tried two new ones this year, so far – I am hoping to find the perfect spray on tan, but alas, I am still in favor of the lotion:
