The Great Bumble & Bumble Hair Powder

This is my newest love, Bumble and bumble Hair Powder. You *might* remember my rant from a few months ago about the woman with the monstrous gray roots that offended me so (well, I am not that easily offended, it was just a lil’ rant…LOL). I was that woman the week before my high school reunion a few weeks ago, because I didn’t want to color my hair until the day before my reunion – and it needed it, badly. If you don’t know this about me, I am sickeningly prematurely gray, so when my medium blonde hair begins to grow out, pure white hairs, nearly 100% around my face, start twinkling just the minute they see the light. I color my hair faithfully every 3 weeks.
So, back to the Hair Powder. I was in Nashville the week prior, and in all honesty, was totally embarassed about the amount of twinkling roots I had showing, but I had a couple of hours I needed to kill before my brother was going to be home from work, so I went and found a Cosmetics Mall in a shopping center, and killed my 2 hours. Easily. And expensively! So, I have never used much of the Bumble & Bumble line, but my bestest girlfriend is a Bumble & Bumble fanatic and has been raving about them forever to me. So at the B & B display I see their hair powder – take a look, and spray it on (from the sample can). It is a colored powder, in an aerosol can, and comes in blonde, brown and red (I think). I thought – no way is this gonna work – but oh, boy was I wrong. Worked perfectly. Completely covered my gray – no shiny white showing through AT ALL. So after oohing and aahing over it for a while in the store, I sprung the $36 bucks for a can I could call my own. So now, as I am hitting week 3, I have this fabulous powder that is going to allow me to make it to week 4, or maybe even week 5. The best part? If I don’t wash my hair, I don’t have to reapply, and the powder itself makes you able to stretch an extra day or two between shampoos. The color lasted for several days before I started seeing white show through – and it was high time to shampoo then anyway. And no color deposited on my pillows as I slept either. Amazing!
Have you used this? If not (and you need it, of course) you should!

Do you know how this works on darker gray roots, rather than the light silvery ones?
Trust me when I say, if it covers these white things that I have, it will cover anything!
Now I have to admit this product sounds really great. However, I live in a medium size town in NE Pennsylvania and I have never seen any Bumble and Bumble products anywhere in this area even at the high end salons we have here. I would however be very interested in this product as I am very grey. That little cartoon skunk has nothing on me.
Ha ha – Cheryl, I am right there with ya – Every time my hair grows out, I am shocked with more white. I used to think that was a good thing, that it made my darker roots not so noticeable, but as it has gotten worse, I would much prefer my dark roots to sparkling white ones. Aargh.
Oh how I wish we had this product to sell at the salon I worked at back in the day. It would have sold like hotcakes, regardless of the $36 pricetag.
