The Lipstick Effect

Today’s economic climate seems to have taken “luxury” right out of our vocabulary…but a new lipstick can put a little luxe back in your life. The indulgence will lift your spirits, transform your look and satisfy that craving for a little something new without the hefty price tag. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that lipstick sales go up during an economic downturn. Pucker up for a kiss of luxury anyone can afford!
For only $5, we love the hydrating, softening lips created by ELF. (available at eyeslipsface.com)
For a real taste of luxury, Too Faced Lip of Luxury, is a champagne-infused line smoothing lipstick drenched in shea butter! ($18 at Sephora)
Don’t let skin allergies get in the way, VMV Hypoallergenics Lip Bliss Lipstick is clinically tested and validated hypoallergenic, free of 25 known skin allergens, and it’s 100% fragrance free. ($23 at vmvhypoallergenics.com)

i have tried so many lipsticks in my lifetime (as i’m sure you all have) and i’ve been on the search recently for the perfect nude in the perfect formula. i discovered sally hansen natural beauty’s color comfort lip color. i bought seashell nude and not only was the color true to the sample shade (the end of the tube is colored), and the shade layered perfectly on top of my natural lip color. (it didn’t look too chalky or sheer.) plus carmindy from “what not to wear” is helped make the line!
