Susie Galvez is working hard promoting her new book, The Thrifty Girl’s Guide to Glamour: Living the Beautiful Life on Little or No Money, and it seems to be working, as it is just about sold out at Amazon. In the book, Susie humorously gives lots of beauty advice from her perspective as a spa consultant, esthetician and makeup artist, and gives it to us honestly, sharing her tips on how to be thrifty rather than cheap, and what products to spend your money on and where you can cut corners. This looks like a book right up my alley – have you all read this? What did you think?

Are there tips on how to apply certain makeups?
I have not read it or even heard about it. All you hear about right now is the book by Allure editor Linda Wells. But this book you mention is one I would be interested in reading. I cannot afford the prices of all these cosmetics, etc. the prices are outrageous so I am rather picky as to what I purchase, etc. as my income is limited and I have to spend most of my money on useless things such as rent, heat, food, etc. So any help that is out there is most appreciated.
