Too Much Stuff?

November 7, 2006 by Christina Jones

How many products is too many? Is there such a thing? My nightly routine is a cleanser, toner, 2 serums, and eye cream and a moisturizer – and then my Rare Minerals. In the morning I use a cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, primer, and then foundation and the rest of the color cosmetics. However, my skin looks better than it has in several years, so for me, it is not too much, and the products I use all have a purpose. The trick is to find the right combination that works for you. Despite what the manufacturers will tell you, you do not have to use their whole system – each product has its own benefits, and as long as you find the products that do the right thing for you, feel free to mix and match all you want.

That is so true. Manufacturers rarely make any product that works better if you use the whole system. The only advantage is usually the fragrances match. But that doesn’t matter much either.

Anyway, here goes the first one, will update with a new post when things change (which they do, fairly frequently). [...]
