I wanted to point out first that it's the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, not Dallas. They aren't too far apart though. :) I'm 22, so if my mom were still trying to tell me what to wear that would be a bit embarrassing. I do however have a 13 year old sister, and I'm privy to some of their battles every once in a while. The thing that always seems to come up is earrings. I remember my mom fighting with me over that one too. Seems like tween girls love trying to get away with long, dangling earrings. And hoops of larger than a VERY specific size are a big no-no! As far as beauty products, dark polish was always off limits for me. Good thing there wasn't Black Satin back then... New commenter here.
