What is it??? Well, the “Fun Betty,” as well as the “Love Betty,” allow you to color coordinate Valentine’s Day outer wear with areas that aren’t for all eyes to see! It gives everyone a chance to switch things up a bit this year and give your man a little sexy shock-therapy.

What’s In and Out (in Hair) for 2009

Philip Pelusi, celebrity hairstylist and hair care product extraordinare – is fabulous for the lovely locks he provides (even once upon a time to me!), and was kind enough to offer his expert advice on what’s going to be hot and what’s not so hot for hairstyles in 2009.
Who says you have to spend hours in front of the mirror making hair look perfect. This year’s hottest looks, such as the beehive and bob are over, so let hair go in 2009 for a sexy, fun, “I just threw myself together,” look.
Oh no, my hair just naturally looks this …read more

Shopping fuel is upon us!

Shopping fuel is upon us!

Black Friday is almost upon us, and a lot of us will be waking up at arse-crack of dawn to pile our way through the masses.
I remember all through my younger years (and possibly to be repeated this year), I’d hook up with my mom at around 4 am, get coffee to go, and hit whatever random sale was tickling our fancy – and often leave disappointed.
Whether or not it is a worthwhile excursion is not my right to say – but I can help you be prepared when you get there!
I have eight $5 gift cards to the Coffee …read more

My Love/Hate Relationship With Bumble & Bumble

Howdy folks – could I be more behind?  I think not.  Well, maybe.  When I get overwhelmed, I must whine a little, so please bear with me while I try to get myself back into the blogging groove this week.
On my whiny brain today is Bumble & Bumble.  *Why o why* do they not allow people to sell them online?  What is the point?  Is it diversion fears?  Maybe they just don’t *want* to have a thriving company that sells like mad.  I don’t know, but I sure wish they would reconsider that.  I have a few B&B things that …read more

2008 CEW Beauty Awards

2008 CEW Beauty Awards

I am mega late on this this year, but I didn’t want too much more time to go by without talking about the 2008 CEW Beauty Awards winners.  These are chosen by executives in the beauty business – editors, owners and every other type of professional you can think of in the biz.  You can be guaranteed that these products are going to be the tops in their categories – and definitely worth a try.  Mass means you can buy the products (mass market) in the drugstores, prestige means that they are available at specialty/department stores and well, they …read more

Paris Hilton (and her cute bob) at Sundance

Are you still loving Paris’s bob?  I sure am.  It’s awfully nice seeing that natural hair instead of all these bad extensions (a la Britney, and Pamela Anderson), and God-forbid that fried out blonde *stuff* that Lindsay Lohan is sporting these days.  If you’re sporting fried out, overprocessed, overstraightened blonde – the time is now to cut it into a cute short bob or shag.

50 Beautiful Things You Can Do With Vaseline

50 Beautiful Things You Can Do With Vaseline

Vaseline has recently released some awesome new products, my very favorite of which is their Cocoa Butter Vitalizing Gel Body Oil.
I keep it by the tub, and use it on my wet body before I dry off. It leaves you totally smooth and very nice and moisturized without being greasy (after a very few minutes anyway). This new line of products from Vaseline have other ingredients besides their classic petroleum jelly, these are absolutely not just repackaged vaseline. They are not expensive, and totally worth a try.
I have the classic Vaseline all over my …read more

Would You Buy Hair Care From This Woman?

Yep, that’s supermodel Kate Moss. I’m sorry, I have never been a fan. Never seen what the rest of the world has seen in her. I certainly have seen her look beautiful, but most of the time, I just really don’t see it. Even when she first came on the scene – I was never into that waif thing at all. I am sure I’ll get slammed, ’cause I have never knows anyone stay on top like she has, despite all her horrific press. She must have an enormous and dedicated fan base, it …read more

Beauty Woes

Beauty Woes

Oooh I have been a crappy blogger this week month.  So much on my plate and only so many hours in the day.   The psycho ex was in town this week (boyamIusedtobeing1000milesawayfromhim) and my mother had surgery yesterday on top of that, and I have to be in a relaxed state to think beautiful, ya know?  I think I’ve been maybe a smidge depressed too because of my great friend Hsien leaving b5media to strike out on her own to make her own mark in the genetics world.  *sniff*
It’s hard to imagine that what seems like such …read more

Reader Question – What To Do When Hair Color Grabs

Reader Question – What To Do When Hair Color Grabs

Do you know what grabbing means? It is when your hair is particularly dry, and you color it, and you get the shock of your life when your color job is done, because it is WAY darker than it was supposed to be in the dry areas, or it can have a green, orange or purple cast to it. You can even see this happen pretty subtly, when your hair color is darker at the bottom than near the roots, it doesn’t have to be a dramatic problem. Color gone wild. What’s a girl to do?
Tracy asks …read more
