Laser treatments are so popular these days, they can remove age spots, sun spots, wrinkles and unwanted hair. I really have never given these things too much of a second thought – I thought they were pretty safe, and I guess they are for the most part, but if they are botched, they are really botched. Here are a couple pictures, the first one is of a botched sun spot removal, and the second one is a botched hair removal. This example is not the best one, but it is the only good one I could find of her looking straight on at the camera with no hair covering half her face. Her brows need to have about 1/4 inch plucked off of the inner edge of each one:

They are beautiful eyebrows, they really are. They are just too darned close together. Here is a much worse eyebrow picture from the Pirates of the Caribbean premiere (from InStyle.com):

In this picture, not only are her brows just too close together, the color is heinous. Heinous. Granted, I am not generally an advocate of bleaching your eyebrows, as it just too easy to over lighten them and then they really look bad, but, in this instance, if she is going to lighten her hair that much, please do something about those jet black, too close together caterpillars brows.

So, to use this Veet Rasera, you smooth on the lotion, leave it on for a specified amount of time, then “shave” it off with the bladeless razor. Whats the point? Not sure. If I am going to fake shave, I might as well real shave – especially since I have my super easy Intuition razor that I love (and that now comes with SHEA BUTTER soap!), right? Maybe. I have thick hair on my head which translates to thick hair on my legs, and razor stubble is highly icky. Highly icky. Maybe if this was to really not leave such stubbly hairs as shaving (which wouldnt be that hard to do), this could be a good alternative. I can see how this works better than the general “smooth it on, wash it off” depilatories. I think I am going to try it out. Here is a coupon for $3 off, making it just that much more tempting. I first tried sugaring in the day spa where I worked for several years, and it really works just as well as hot wax, with minimal fuss. Sugaring at home is a little different process, but for the most part works just as well. Now, I have to say, that sugaring solves all of the classic problems with waxing – no burning yourself, and no permanent spots of wax on your clothes, counters, floors…but it does lack the ease of the Wax Strips I talked about last week. I am sticking with my original analysis that those are the greatest invention since – well, since my favorite pore sucking machine.
