I have a thing for Benefit Cosmetics – always have, always will: And it’s largely because there’s adorable packaging, and within, a fabulous product.
But when the product is also at a extra-great price, it becomes a done deal. Right now, for a limited time, at Sephora, you can get the Lust Dusters Trio for $10.
Lust Dusters is a special collection of three shimmering loose powders for the eyes and face. It creates an awesome – yet natural – luminous glow that you can put anywhere – your lids for totally showoff eyes or cheeks for a touch of glimmer.

OK, I promise: This shall be my final pre-Halloween beauty post.
(Mostly because Halloween starts in about a half hour.)
First of all, I’m loving the new Sephora Halloween Kit -it’s only $19, and gives all sorts of fabulously Halloween-appropriate looks, all in one box.
The kit has anything you may need to create the look of a doll, fairy, and angel, including: False Eyelashes, Round a Pot in Beach Ball, Glitter Spray in Silver, Slim Eyeliner in Black, Slim Eyeliner in White, and Luminous Glow.
Why is this great? Well, if you are still looking for tips right now, you probably still have …read more
Bobbi Brown Chrome Collection

Another Bobbi Brown release I’m getting increasingly excited about is their new Chrome Collection.
“Chrome is cool and icy. It’s a very modern, but still pretty way to illuminate the skin,” Bobbi says.
The Chrome Palette is a very cool way of looking at holiday beauty – especially for those of us who just aren’t feeling the red and jolly.
It’s very icy and shimmering and 10 eye shadows, 4 lip shades, a Mini Eye Shadow Brush and a Mini Lip Brush.
Chrome lips are part of the collection as well, and include Port Lip Color, Chrome Metallic Lip Color and Plum Pearl …read more

I am so excited.
As you probably can tell from my trials of new ones every few weeks, I am a mascara ho. And while I have my absolute favorite of all time (MAC Zoom Lash, I heart you!) – I am super-excited to try new ones that seem to kick things up a notch.
Because, let’s face it, the eyes do have. And sexy eyes can make a BIG difference when trying to play seductress.
I just learned this morning that coming in November – which is, but days away – Bobbi Brown is launching Extreme Party Mascara.
Bobbi Brown says it’ll be …read more
Jane Iredale Brush-Me Matte

We all want to shine, but not in the sense of being “shiny”.
Jane Ireland Brush-Me Matte is awesome – it’s a shine-reducing powder in a convenient, travel-ready brush.
What does that mean? Well, you won’t be ME. Standing in a foreign country. In the bathroom. About to leave for dinner. And realize that while you have your favorite compact…you forgot your cosmetic brush.
And so, if everything comes in a single package, I have a HOPE of getting my act together. In theory.
Beyond my own tendency to be feeble-minded, another reason I love this product: It’s made with rice! Rice starch works …read more
MAC Zoom Lash – My Favorite Thing Ever

I received M.A.C.’s Zoom Lash a good month ago – and I confess I was a little tardy on trying it out.
I finally did yesterday, and I was blown away. Zoom Lash is quite simply, the blackest-black best, most insta-volume mascara I’ve ever used in my entire life.
It’s really hard for me, when testing mascaras, to find those that succeed at the thickening effect, and yet don’t give me the fringe “benefit” of smudge and smear…this so succeeds though. It didn’t clump, and I wore it all day long – and to two events – and it was still perfect …read more

Estee Lauder is nothing short of BRILLIANT.
Since we all do some of our best stalking online, we should really look our best in our profile pics. Estée Lauder has decided to help us out!
You stop by their counter, and get made over with their experts…and then they will take your photo AND help you post it. Even better, they’ll give us a 10-day supply of foundation in your shade so that you stay hot.
I love that’s ALL free. Certainly beats taking pix of myself with my web cam over and over until it looks decent. (Not that I do that. …read more

I am a super-huge fan of the Purple Lab team, and am excited about anything new from them – because it’s always awesome.
So, when I got an email they were doing something new for October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month – I was all over it.
In the announcement, Purple Lab NYC “creatix” Karen Robinovitz tells the story of last year meeting new friends Malaak, Andrea, and Hayley who lost their good friend to Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a rare and aggressive subtype. Her friends went on to form the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundationsm to bring awareness to and …read more

How darn cute is this???
Whether you are seeking a bit of scent or a lot of shimmer, I think you will beyond-adore Couture Couture by Juicy Couture Body Dust.
It’s actually also a bit of gold glow: To wear, you just pat on some body powder. It’s super delicate, but it actually nourishes skin, because it’s loaded with protein and crushed pearl powder.
Note: To each is the decision dependent, but I’m thinking body dust is most attractive post-happy hour. It may look a little odd around that breakfast meeting…
M·A·C Style Black Nail Lacquer

Would I consider black nail polish?
At one point, I would have said no…but now I can’t imagine having felt that way!
MAC’s Style Black isn’t just black nail polish – though that is an option – but what it is is a super-hot mix of product that is largely inspired by the concept of black.
I will be covering other aspects of the launch in some very soon to come blog posts – but I love a lot of it – but for now, I want you to take a second to consider why you need to own this polish. Imagine the …read more
