What’s Another Word For Blog?

While we are on the subject of contests, here is another one from TheStylephile where you can wind a Nars and MAC goodie bag:
Blog. To me, the word most resembles the sound someone makes to indicate that she desperately needs the Heimlich maneuver. It also reminds me of elderly European men on street corners, who emit guttural explosions (Blech! Blugh! Blog!) to pass the long afternoons. Still, I rather like it since it well represents the way we spit out info. Apparently, the word affronts Anna Wintour enough that she has appealed to her Vogue staff to come up with a chicer mot—as was reported by Page Six. Perhaps the winner at Vogue will receive a free pass to eat a Kit-Kat without being fired. Want to weigh in? Visit TheStylephile.com and post your best idea for a substitute word for blog in the comments section beneath this post. The winner will receive a gift bag filled with make-up (MAC, Nars) and other great goodies hand-picked from my beauty closet.
Anna Wintour sort of cracks me up. She reminds me of my grandmother – everything must be “just so,” and it never is.
Personally, I am rather attached to “blog” these days, but if you have a great idea for a new word, maybe you can swing my vote.
In case you are unaware of where the word came from in the first place, “Blog” is a shorter, friendlier version of the words “web log” (and the condensed, weblog). A blog is a sort of online diary, updated frequently (hopefully!), with the most current information on the front page at the top. You are visiting one now.
Not so often I get to talk geek on eBeautyDaily. w00t!

Great idea, but will this work over the long run?
