Would You Wear These Couture Lashes?

August 7, 2008 by Christina Jones

These are a new line of lashes for Shu Uemura’s Tokyo Lash Bar – created by the design duo Viktor & Rolf.  They come in three different styles, each one a little wilder than the other.

viktor-and-rolf-shu-uemura I could have lived my life as a club kid, and I would sport these loud and proud!  My cows would probably laugh their butts off at me if I wore them at this point.  But, they have a time and a place, and I am plenty daring to wear fantasy lashes when the time is right.   Will I snatch some of these up for $95 so I can have them around when the time is right?  Honestly, probably not.  But if the right time comes around while they are in the store – this would be a heck of an impulse buy.  Surely I can find something wild and crazy to get into sometime soon…  :)

I LOVE these and appreciate them as a work of art, but I am pretty sure I won’t be owning them. I have no where to even remotely consider wearing them! :)

  2. Its hard to wear false eyelashes anyway , but these are ones i am pretty sure i would never wear! Great to see the new styles though..

If it was for a Halloween or a high fashion masquerade party yes, if I was doing a look for a fashion cover yes, but for everyday, I would not wear but it is fun to be different and set trend instead of follow

  4. Beth Thaer says:

Great new styles, but I don’t think anyone would wear these false eyelashes anytime soon.

  5. Kellie says:

I probably wouldn’t wear anything labeled as couture. It carries a weird connotation to me. They look quite hot in photograph though.

  6. Cindy says:

This maybe where it is all going. I’ts very over the top. Perhaps it should stay in the magazines as art, but to actually make this a “DO”, in our society? I am uncertain if it would hit for quite awhile, it looks more like pop cultures meets London/England.
