Speck Fitted For That Preppy Look!

I’m feeling a little preppy since I’ve been reading on Gossip Girl’s upcoming new season. It’s coming out this September 14 and I sooooooo can’t wait!

I heard Hilary Duff is going to be the newest addition to the Gossip Girl cast, as  Vanessa’s new BFF or something like that. Well, I guess that’s a more logical character for her to play as I really can’t see her playing any character aside from a goody-toe-shoes. A role as a villain just doesn’t suit her!

Anyway, so as I was saying, since I’m feeling a little preppy these Speck Fitted iPhone cases caught my eye! It’s something I can imagine Blair using to go with her stylish plaid skirts and perfectly tailored outfits.

Speck Fitted iPhone Case Features:

  • Fits iPhone 3G & iPhone 3GS
  • Original fabrics create a custom, personalized look
  • Form-fit hard shell for protection
  • Comfortable and lightweigh
  • Two-piece snap-together design
  • Complete access to all ports, controls and sensors

I really love the idea of a hardshell, fabric-covered case for the iPhone.

Price: $29.95
Where to buy: Speck Products

Cute Keyboard Protector From iSkin!

There are two (2) things I’m going to tell you to buy immediately if you just recently bought a MacBook or a MacBook Pro.

First, a Speck Hard Case and second, a keyboard protector. Most people don’t like Speck Cases but I really like them since they add a touch of color and don’t really overpower the sleek original design of the MacBook, and they definitely do the job of keeping scratches away. (Other people would be to differ, I think).

A keyboard protector is also a must since I’ve seen MacBook Pros with really ugly wrist rests. I guess the users sweat on it and it ends up getting all black and icky. I’m a heavy WoW player so a keysaver is really a must for me since I don’t want my “W” key disappearing, haha.

I swear by the Capdase Keysaver and I would really recommend that you get that. But I’m not sure if it’s available for the newer MacBook Pro models. I’m still pretty happy with my 2-year old MacBook Pro so I haven’t really taken a look at the accessories for the new MacBooks.

But for people who own the newer two-toned MacBooks, iSkin has a little treat for you! They’ve come out with the iSkin Protouch Vibe Keyboard Protector and it looks really awesome! Say goodbye to boring white silicon protectors! (My only concern is it only protects the keys and not the wrist rest)

There are three kinds: ProTouch classic, ProTouch FX and my favorite, the ProTouch Vibe.

For more details, you can check out the iSkin website. Oh, and they have versions for the Apple keyboard as well!

Price: ProTouch Classic ($24.99), ProTouch FX ($29.99), ProTouch Vibe ($34.99)
Where to buy: iSkin

How Often Do You Clean Your Gadgets?

I kind of noticed that every Tuesday (that’s maintenance day for World Of Warcraft, hehehe), I clean my MacBook Pro.

I take it out from it’s Speck Case and wipe the body with round cotton sheets wetted (is there such a word?!) with 30% alcohol mixed with 70% water solution. Then I use Q-tips dipped in the same solution for the keys.

I also wipe my Capdase Keysaver with alcohol as well.

It’s just a little habit I’ve formed, I guess!

As for my phone, well, I barely it clean it at all. Hahaha. A mere wipedown with a microfiber cloth every once in a while, but that’s about it. Nothing as thorough as my MacBook Pro cleaning process.

How about you? How often do you clean your gadgets?

P.S. Oh and by the way, if you like the little USB Desk Vacuum on the image above, here’s some info! Just  little nifty gadget to keep your workstation dust-free!

Price: $19.99

Would You Really Skin Your Gadgets?

As much as I “ooh” and “aah” over gadgets which have been sticker-fied or skinned, I’ve been thinking if I would actually have my gadgets done.

I mean, take my MacBook Pro for example.

Eversince I’ve gotten my MacBook, the only pretty-fication (yes, my very own linggo) I’ve done to it is buy a Speck Case… in black! (But I’m still thinking of getting a pink one for those Pink-y days)

I’ve seen a lot of pimped out MacBooks. MacBooks which have really cool skins, or very beautiful etchings on them, and there are times when I want mine done as well.

But then I start thinking, in the long run, I still want my MacBook in it’s classy, original look. For one thing, it’s going to be easier to resell it.

Anyway, here’s a great link on laptop sleeves, skins and stickers!

Speck SeeThru Case For Sony Vaio SZ and HP 6000 Laptops

I’ve always wondered how come Speck SeeThru Cases were only available for Macbooks and Macbook Pros.

But anyway, if you’re an owner of a Sony Vaio SZ and an HP 6000, you can finally get yourself a Speck Case!

It’s only available in red, pink and clear though, and it doesn’t look as spiffy as the ones for the Macs.

And another thing, the covers only protect the upper part of the laptop and not the bottom.

Oh well, beggars can’t be choosers, heheh!
