I know a lot of us (me included!) have always wanted to publish their own book. Be it a novel that’s just full of text, or a simple coffee table book that’s full of photos or a combination of both!
With today’s technology, publishing your own book is now as easy as pie!
With Blurb, you’re given the fabulous opportunity of producing your own bookstore quality book!
How to do this?
1. Go to www.blurb.com
2. Download Blurb’s Booksmart software to your Mac or PC – it’s free!
3. Use the software to layout your book with their variety of book layouts, created by professional book designers. You have absolute complete creative control!
4. When you’re satisfied with your creation, just hit “order” and your book will be uploaded to Blurb and will be sent for printing.
5. Wait for 7-10 days for your book to arrive and show the world your professionally done Blurb book! (Hear everyone just ooh-and-ahhh!!)
With this said, I’m giving out 2 free books ($29.95 credits) as give aways!
How to join?
Post a comment on my blog with the answer to this question: (Please include your real name and a legit email address!)
“WHAT WILL YOUR BOOK BE?”
Two (2) readers with the best answers will get a free book ($29.95 credit) from Blurb!
Contest will run starting today until June 8, 2008. So all comments received on June 9, 2008 are no longer qualified.
Blurb book prices start at $12.95 for a 7×7″ softcover book, $22.95 for a 7×7” hardcover book with dust jacket, and $24.95 for a hardcover ImageWrap book. The hardcover ImageWrap option is a brand new option that allows you to print an image directly on the front and back of any hardcover Blurb book, making it more “professional looking” and sophisticated! You can also produce a 10×8”, 8×10” or 13×11” book.
And the best thing yet, you can make your book public in the Blurb Bookstore, sell your book online at the price you set, and keep all the profit! So if it’s a really good book, you can actually start making money!
Now don’t you just want to make your own Blurb book?
You never know, it could the start of your book career!

Oh, neat! I think I would publish one of my Nanowrimo novels (after some thorough editing lol).
hi hil! haha i had to google what nanowrimo was, hehe!
should i consider this as ur raffle entry?
Our son turned 21 this year. I decided to write a series of posts at GNMParents.com about what i’ve learned from Andrew. It’s been an interesting learning process (the writing, that is).
I’d love to turn it into a book.
I have been working on a book for my son about all the ways for him to know I love him. It is a children’s book and since he is just learning to read, this would mean alot to us both.
I would like for my 11 year old to make a book about soccer for kids.
My book would definitely be a picture book (coffee table book) with pictures of our little ones and all of the fun places we’ve visted over the years. Lot’s of memories could go into this for ours and our guests enjoyment.
Great contest!!!!
I’d like to make 2 books. A chronoligical picture book of each of my children!
i have a collection of poems that i have always wanted to publish-this would be a dream come true-how fantastic is this contest!!
I’d make a collection of my niece’s beautiful artwork as a surprise for her upcoming birthday. Thanks!
I really want to make 2 of these of my daughters dance photos from when they started till currently. I’d also like a book highlighting my favorite pictures of both girls from birth to current to keep out. I think I’d do the last one if I won.
I would probably make a Blurb Book on my daughters milestones. Thank you!
I would write a children’s book about a little girl moving away from her friend…since my grandaughter will be moving soon, it may help her deal with it.
I would make a photo book of my three girls.
There is this series I call SamChronicles that I want to publish someday. There is already another installment of that which is called Elbichronicles. The SamanthaChronicles is a creative nonfiction hybrid of my playwriting and creative writing training. I love having conversations with people and I think it would great to put this in a book. It’s nearing the end of the first season (since I call the chapters as episods) but it is far from finished.
My book would be about my recent trip to the Philippines where I took more than 1000+ pictures during my 2-month vacation!
wow, this is marvelous!
I’ve always dreamed of creating my own book.
Given the chance, I’m thinking of publishing a photo book of my growing family (to remind me that our family matters the most on top of everything).
OR selected blog posts.
OR my travel/mountaineering experiences showcasing the beauty of my country.
thanks for sharing this.
My wedding story!

Mine will be a collection of Praise and Worship song Lyrics
I would love to make a book of my twins artwork for them. This would be perfect!
My book will be the one my daughter wrote while in the hospital for many weeks…she is truly inspiring and she wants to share her wonderful fictional story about a strong princess with other kids who need a lift.

Last March 1, I said “I DO” to the love of my life. We got married and immediately moved to Sydney.
Although our photographer will make an album for us, that album will stay in Manila at my parents house.
I would love to have a smaller book-like album of the happiest day of my life which I can have in Sydney.
Ah, someone already answered this, but if ever I’ll make a book, it’s going to be either a novel I wrote for NaNoWriMo or the collection of excerpts of Filipino NaNoWriMo participants which we compiled last 2007.
I would publish my blog which includes my first years of marriage. I think this will be interesting to show our kids some day… their parents were “cool” before they came along!
My book will chronicle through photos, artwork and essays, the spiritual, strange and often surreal odyssey of waiting 4 four years for my U.S. visa so I could reunite with my wife in the States.
God bless!
I seem to have a knack for making ordinary, everyday life look cool, fascinating and epic. (At least that’s what people tell me.)
I’m never bored. I think there’s something awesome in everything.
I’d just want to the chance to share that with everyone.
I would love to win the Blurb book. If I won I would use it to make a book of my sisters pictures and experiences while serving a mission in Arizona. She has been gone for a year and a half and it would be her coming home present…she would love it!
Thank you for letting me enter your contest!
I think,if Ill be chosen,Ill be publishing my collection of poems. It’s my original poems so it would be so memorable if that would happen.

I would make a scrapbook of sorts about my boys. I think it would be cool for them to have a book to look at with all the funny things they’ve said done or the messes they’ve made.
I lived in Egypt for years, I would make a coffee table photography book regarding everything I did there, regarding the culture and the people. I have over 3000 pictures and I would love to sort them in a very unique way. Thanks!
What I’d really like to do is to take the poetry my daughter has written throughout the years and put them into book form. She’s really talented and her poetry evokes beautiful imagery. I think it would be nice to put photos of her scattered throughout the pages showing her growth along with the growth of her art. It’s exciting just thinking about it. I’m such a sentimental fool.
I would make a picture cookbook for my little girls using pictures of them. They like to be my cook’s helpers, so I would like to create a photo-rich cookbook for them to make some recipes independently.
If I made a book it would be filled with memories of my Granny. Photos of her, her six daughters, 13 grandkids, and 10 great grandkids. She is not with us any longer and all I can think about is a book of memories.
Wow, I am torn! I guess I would love to publish my Family Blueprint devotionals since I have so many requests for that. I have around 8k unique visitors per a month and so many people ask me if they can buy a book with my devotionals/object lessons?
Secondly, I have a son with autism that has went from being non-verbal and consumed in meltdowns to a verbal, sweet, affectionate boy. Yes, he still has autism. Yes, he still has quirks. But he obeys me, rarely has a meltdown, and does quite well with making his thoughts known now. I would love to chronicle this to help other parents see how I got the results, my trials and errors, and the methods that worked for us.
Maybe we could just publish a book on how long my post is on your blog??? LOL!
Thank you for the opportunity!
combo art, poetry and photo book about my life and my family
I think I might write a children’s story of our family heritage for my kids.
Mine would be about the Amish.
My book would be a book of poems that was written during a trying time.
This is tough. It would be my very first attempt so I think I’d try a childrens book. My grandkids would be my best critics. I’m absolutely sure writing the “Great American Novel” isn’t as easy as it sounds!
I would write a book about religion and church for people who are Autistic (like me) and their families. I’d probably pay to get an extra copy so I could keep one and give one to the local Autism Society.
I would love to make a big coffee table book of my husband’s artwork! Maybe one of paintings and one of sculpture…

“Omelet: A Story Of An Egg”
