Do You Resell Your Gadgets?

How long do you keep your gadgets before you buy a new one?
My old laptop which was a Toshiba lived for around 4 years with me. Now it’s only gathering dust in my attic. What a waste!
Lately, I’ve been thinking whether to sell my laptop when it turns a year old. For one thing, the resell value will be high. I only have to add a few more bucks and I get a laptop that’s brand new!
It’s either I sell my laptop or get the Apple Care which will extend my warranty for 3 years more. But after 3 years, I can only probably sell my laptop at half the price that I got it at. Or even less! Therefore, I have to add more if and when I want a new one.
And when I do sell my Mac Book Pro, I still intend to get another Mac Book Pro, hahaha. Some say I should get the Mac Air, but it just doesn’t fulfill my gaming needs
So how about you guys? Do you like reselling your gadgets or you let them stay with you until they become ancient and value-less?

my desktop is already 4 years old.. still alive and kicking… hahahaha (ok.. forget crysis and assassin’s creed, but it’s still serving its purpose)….
but yeah, with the way gadgets depreciate now, the way to go is to sell them before the next gen/batch of gadgets come, or when the upgrade is worth it.
Hehehe, my desktop *was* 4 years old too. Take note, *was*, haha! I have bequeathed it to my brother who chopped it up and built a newer pc which the remaining parts he could salvage
I fried the motherboard, so he got the hard disks and the other stuff.
Desktops atleast, are easier to upgrade
But laptops and other gadgets, argh… They practically old news the minute you buy them
Seriously!
I’m sentimental so I tend to use my gadgets (or babies) until they get tired of me or vice versa
I used to be like that, too. Using my gadgets till they break, but now that I’m earning my own money, I see my gadgets as an investment now, haha!
