Gadgenista Review: 32GB 2nd Gen iPod Touch!

As most of you know, I received a 32GB iPod Touch from the boyfie last Christmas and ofcourse, acquiring a new gadget is never complete until you’ve actually made a review about it, ha ha.

So, if you’re remotely interested about my iPod Touch experience, then read on!

The Un-Boxing

What’s inside the crystal case?

Manual, Warranty, Earphones, Dock adapter, Cleaning cloth and the stickers!

Where did you stick your Apple stickers, anyway?

Not included with the iPod Touch but I wanted to share that the boyfie’s sister gave me a cute, PINK Belkin Sleeve! :) Love it!

My Thoughts
One thing I have to say, owning an iPod Touch has totally squelched my desire for an iPhone.

I already have a decent point and shoot camera, and my phone works totally fine.

So for now, the iPod Touch is good enough for me! But if you’re the all-in-one gadget type, then that’s just a totally different story.

Ok! To make this review short and sweet, here are the things I love about the 32GB 2nd Gen iPod Touch.

1. The battery life is awesome. It’s been 4 days since I fully charged the iPod Touch and it’s been on stand-by ever since. I used it for around 5-6 hours, listening to music and another hour to surf using the installed Safari browser while checking my email with the mail app. And guess what? The battery charge is at around 40%! Not bad.

2. I’m totally loving the built-in speakers.  The 2nd Gen iPod Touch now comes with built-in speakers. Thank the gadget gods! At least my ears won’t hurt after wearing earphones for hours! The sound quality of course isn’t that great, but it’s pretty decent. At least it doesn’t sound like a tin can, ha ha.

3. The iPod Touch totally syncs with my Mac Book Pro! (Duh, Apple products, haha) One reason why I wanted an iPod Touch was so I can go mobile with my iCal. My SE M600i unfortunately isn’t supported by iSync so I couldn’t sync my iCal to my phone.

4. I’m totally loving the Wi-Fi connectivity. I can surf and check email from my bed! Well, I can do that with my laptop, but the laptop is just so bulky, heavy and HOT.

Well, that’s about it for the mean time!

I’m still contemplating whether to Jail Break it or not ;) And that’s another post.

I’m thinking about getting an IPod touch but they are so expensive. I think I may just bite the bullet and get one and the end of March. toodles
