iPhone Flip Concept: Hmmmmm….!

What do you guys think of the iPhone going clamshell or flip style?
Ok, before we all start squealing and drooling, let me remind you that this is just a concept as of this moment. BUT!
It was included in Apple’s recent patent application, so it could probably become true in the not-so distant future.
Anyway, as you can see, the flip part of the phone is translucent (or transparent) and is also touch-sensitive. Looks pretty darn cool.

seeing a glasslike multitouch panel is a cool idea, but are there any research organization that has this in their drawing board at least? ok, maybe this is what they should be focusing on after a foldable AMOLED project goes into mass production.
ive seen this type of glasslike panel in Yanko Designs website, there’s even a holographic LCD. does that mean we’re almost at the Jetson’s era?
