Newest Technology in Shoes! From High-Heels to Flats!

Shiela’s HeelsI was on my way to work the other day when I heard on the radio about high-heeled shoes turning into flats with a push of a button.

I was so intrigued that I just have to surf and write about it!

I used to be one of the many women drivers who always kept an extra pair of flat-heeled shoe in their car before.

But since I drive an automatic now, I can comfortably drive around in heels, tho admittedly, it’s still a road-hazard! Hahaha.

What are the chances of your heels getting snagged by the car mat, right?

Sometimes, I still do bring flats especially when I have to drive my boyfriend’s car since he owns a Skyline with a manual tranny. And aside from using flats as driving shoes, how many times have you wished you brought along flat shoes (that actually go with your current outfit) after a whole day of walking around in high heels?

So anyway, apparently, these “transforming shoes” (Transformers? Wow, just in time for the movie!) are popping up like mushrooms!

So I guess it’s the NEWEST technology in shoes!

Shiela’s Heels

The ones (photo above) I heard on the radio are called Shiela’s Heels. These shoes were created by a insurance company (that caters to women’s car needs) called Shiela’s Wheels. (Check out their ads, really funny)

Another brand of transforming shoes that I came across is Camileon Heels.

Camileon Heels!Camileon Heels (priced at $280 to $305 depending on the style… wow, half the price of Manolo Blahniks!) are claiming to be the first adjustable high heels and they offer more designs than Shiela Heels. Though I don’t really like how the heels are peeking out when they are used as flat shoes.

Shiela’s Heels, though they only carry one (1) model, seems to have been better designed! Like how can you go wrong with HOT PINK, right?! Hahahaha.

It makes me wonder though…

These shoes must be made of really soft material since high-heeled shoes are shaped differently from flat shoes!

High-heeled shoes are so much more bent and curved compared to flat shoes!

Hmmm….

On another note, it’s so funny how sexist men could be :P

While surfing around for these shoes, I’ve seen comments like, “As if these shoes can improve women’s driving skills!”

Well, I want to see someone invent something to improve how men think… Hahaha! Flame bait!

I’m j-u-s-t kidding!!*wink wink*

Haha. It’s the first time I’ve seen this. I wonder if this will ever be available in the Philippines! :D

I’m sure it will… after 10 years…! Hahahaha. I wonder when it’ll become mainstream tho. I really LOVE the concept!

Us men… Our brains are so big, if you… ate… them… You’d gain nine thousand pounds! Oh, snap!

Those shoes are really cool, though. What with things like these, and the new Microsoft Surface, I’m really starting to feel like I live in Minority Report.

  5. What a great idea and I especially like the touch of pink! Now, someone was thinking! A long day of shopping… just get rid of the heels for a few hours. Love it.

  6. Lia says:

@Cameron, so that’s why men are so BIG-HEADED! Ha! Touche! ;) just kidding.

But I know what you mean, everything is starting to be “futuristic” now!

  7. dexie says:

now let’s hope my bargain digs can create a much cheaper one. if not, oh well. I don’t like/wear flats anyway, hah :) .

    good find Lia.

or…you could just wear flat shoes. this is interesting, but I don’t understand why anyone would want to wear high heels in the first place….

  9. Lia says:

I take it ur not a woman? :P

It’s for the sake of fashion, my dear! :) Hehehehe.

  10. Elise says:

It’s really interesting to see those. A friend of mine designed and made a pair similar to those for a school project. But it wasn’t for driving, it was for running. It was a safety/fear project.

  11. Liz says:

OMG, somebody should bring that in here!!!!!!

  12. katty says:
