Sony’s New Webbie Camcorder: MHS-PM1!

Sometime ago my then-boyfriend, now fiance (yes, I’m getting married, haha!) asked me if I knew of any YouTube-friendly camcorders.
I suggested the Flip Mino, but of course, looking for a store that carries a Flip Mino here in the Philippines is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Online shopping could be an option, but then again, not a lot of stores ship all the way here to the Philippines either. *sigh*
Flip Mino isn’t a popular brand of camcorder here so maybe that’s why it’s so hard to find. *facepalm*
Fortunately though, Sony is one of the more well-known brands here and thank the geek gods, they came out with a webbie camcorder similar to the Flip Mino, called the Sony Webbie MHS-PM1. Hopefully, our Sony stores should carry them soon.
Specifications:
- 5.0 megapixel resolution
- Captures videos at 720p and 1080p
- Memory card expansion slot
- Swiveling lens
- Rechargeable lithium ion battery
- Flash card media type
Just like the Flip Mino, it has a very sleek design which makes it very convenient to bring around pretty much every where. Plus, it comes in three colors: purple, orange and silver.
It’s a bit pricey though as it’s been said that its standard package doesn’t come with an optional memory card. So you pretty much have to shell out extra cash to buy extra memory storage for it.
Price: $165
Where to buy: B&G Photo Video
