You can’t imagine how many times I’ve stopped myself. I was soooo ready to input my credit card details and just click “Check out”. Until I realized that the delivery fee was almost 1/4 of the price. Yaiks. I’d rather trek all the way to an Apple center if that’s the case.

Well, I guess as much as I want to upgrade to Snow Leopard, I’m pretty paranoid and very cautious when it comes to upgrading my MacBook Pro. I’ve been reading about apps getting broken since apparently they’re not compatible with Snow Leopard. (Though I really don’t install third party apps anyway…)

But I really want to upgrade to Snow Leopard soon. The selling point for me is of course the speed improvement of your machine. And I heard that after upgrading, you get to free up around 7GB worth of hard disk space! Wow, that’s a lot of space. Imagine how many movies and TV shows I can download and accomodate, haha.

So share with me your Snow Leopard experience. Has it been a pleasant, worthy experience? Or would you have rathered that you waited till the hype has died downed and most (if not all) of the bugs have been taken care of?

• Supposed to be 2x faster than it’s predecessor. Web pages load faster and applications should launch faster as well.
• You can now shoot videos with it’s 3MP camera. And what’s even better is you can actually edit your videos straight on the iPhone.
• Voice Control. Dial numbers using voice command, or play songs by just saying the name of the song.
• You can also use your iPhone as a compass! The iPhone is now a must-bring gadget during your camping trips and trek in the forest!
• Cut, Copy and Paste! Self explanatory… and FINALLY!
• MMS sending is now also possible with the new iPhone
• Searching for items on your iPhone is now easier with the Spotlight feature

and my favorite new feature…

Internet Tethering! You can now use the iPhone as a 3G modem to so you can surf using your Mac laptops or PC laptops!

Other notable features are:

• Find your iPhone! If it gets stolen or lost, just log in to MobileMe and it will show a map of the nearby location of your iPhone. You can even have it play a sound so you can now where it is, or display a message on the home screen if ever someone finds it.
• Remote Wipe! If your iPhone has sensitive information you don’t want other people accessing, you can initiate a remote wipe to bring your iPhone back to it’s factory setting! Awesome!

The iPhone 3G now only cost $99 (with plan via ATT), while the iPhone 3G[S] costs $199-$299 (with plan via ATT).

I just want to share what happened today.

My friend brought over her mom’s little, cute and white Lenovo netbook work. So she was typing, typing away. Then she stood up. Tripped over the wire. And the cute, white, little Lenovo netbook went flying and *bam* fell to the floor with a sickening crunch. Fortunately, the Lenovo netbook was unscathed and was still working after. Phew.

It would have been so funny if you guys were there. You’d be hearing squeals of terror from us, haha.

Anyway, to make the story short, if u guys own the newer generation MacBooks, we should all be thankful that they invented the MagSafe adapator. It has happened to me soooo many times that people tripped over my cables and I’ve been saved the anxiety that my MacBook Pro would end up flying and crunch to the ground, giving my laptop a dent, or worse, a broken LCD.

Anyway, that’s all. That’s my Apple Fan girl post for the month.

If you guys noticed, the new iPod Shuffle doesn’t seem to have any external controls, except for the remote that’s built-in with the earphones.

I’m sure you guys are wondering how the heck do you go thru the playlist or adjust the volume, etc, etc so here’s a little guide on how to use the new iPod Shuffle.

Hm, seems pretty complicated for a simple, tiny little thing! Haha. So many things to remember, haha!

Wow, the iPod shuffle’s getting tinier and tinier!

And just when we thought Apple’s too busy with their desktop lines like the iMac and the Mac Mini, here they come surprising us with a new iPod shuffle!

The most notable feature of the new iPod Shuffle is the VoiceOver feature. With a press of a button, the VoiceOver tells you what song is playing and the artist. It can also tell you the names of your playlist.

The new iPod Shuffle also comes with earphones that has a remote. The new iPod Shuffle also comes in 4GB storage that can store around 1000 songs. It’s available in 2 colors, silver and gray.

Apple has released a new wired compact keyboard similar to their wireless keyboard, sans the numeric keypad.

Which makes me wonder…

If Apple is giving people the option to buy keyboards without the numeric keypad, are there still people out there who actually use numeric keypads?

I, for one, have not used a numeric keypad in ages!

Finally, it’s about time Apple upgraded Safari! I tried using Safari before but ended up pretty disappointed since it wasn’t compatible with Faceboook’s Chat application then.

I switched to Firefox because of that!

The new Safari 4 BETA looks pretty beefed up and it’s considered to be one of the fastest web browser around, at par with Google Chrome.

In a nutshell, just some of Safari 4 BETA’s new features:

I personally haven’t tried it out yet. I tried installing it the other day but it needs 10.5.6 and I unfortunately had to downgrade to 10.5.5 since the 10.5.6 USB update was screwing up with EOS Utility.

So for now, I will have to be content with other people’s feedback and squirm with envy.

But I guess Apple didn’t forget about their 17-inchers since they just recently unveiled the new 17-in MacBook Pro!

The new 17-inch MBPs have the same aluminum body as the 15-in MBP. Actually, it’s pretty much the same as the 15-in MBPs… except that it was a larger 17-in screen, hahaha. Oh and they’re saying that the battery life of new the 17-inchers can last up to 8 hours!
