Check out these 5 affordable phones from Nokia. Each unit is less than $100! Some are even less than $50!

Not exactly the best phones around if you’re into phones that are feature-packed, but I’m sure it’ll get the job done, as long as the only thing you’re looking for in a mobile phone is that they can send SMS or make calls.

The prices of each phones are as follows:

• Nokia 1280 – $25
• Nokia 1616 – $35
• Nokia 1800 – $38
• Nokia 2220 – $66
• Nokia 2690 – $80

These phones are set to come out the first half of 2010 so be on the look out! I personally like the Nokia 2220 since it comes in pink, haha! The Nokia 1280 comes a close second as it looks as cute as a button. But I hope it comes in other colors aside from blue. Like white, or maybe even pink!

Nokia just came out with a new model for their XpressMusic lineup, the Nokia 5230!

It looks a lot like the Nokia 5800 which I think my sister has. Anyway, totally unrelated, haha.

Moving on…

Nokia 5230 Specifications:

• 2MP camera for still images
• Video capability at 30fps
• Wi-Fi support
• Includes support for 3G
• Has FM radio,
• microSD slot
• 3.2 inch touchscreen display

The Nokia 5230 will initially come out by Q4 of this year in Europe with a price tag of 259 Euro ($371).

Oh and my favorite feature, the Nokia 5230 will have interchangeable back covers, available in black, red, pink, green and blue. The front cover on the other hand will be available in white and black.

Hmmm, white-pink combo. Yay.

It’s going around the rumor mill. Nokia is set to release a 12MP camera phone next year, by 2010.

With that in mind, do you think point and shoot cameras will eventually become extinct? Or if not extinct, the sales will probably plummet, don’t you think?

Most phones nowadays have atleast 3MP cameras already. I’m sure in a year or two, it won’t be surprising if phones carry atleast 5MP (or 8MP, even!) cameras. If that’s the case, why would you want to own a point-and-shoot camera? The prices are practically the same and if you really think about it, you’re getting more of your money’s worth since you’re getting a phone and camera in one.

And I’m sure by next year, the camera features of phone cameras will definitely be better, like better flash, better focusing, better image sensor, etc.

For one thing, you’ll never worry about your phone dying on your while on an important phone call. So how does it work?

The system collects energy from ambient radio waves emitted by antennas, TV masts, Wi-Fi transmitters, and the like. Like RFID tags, the Nokia phones would catch radio waves across a range of frequencies, harnessing them for power.

Nokia’s goal is to get cell phones to harvest about 50 milliwatts of power. Currently the prototypes are able to harvest up to 5 milliwatts, but at least 20 milliwatts is needed to keep phones running in standby mode indefinitely without the need for a recharge – Cnet

Really, the first thing that came to mind when I looked at new Nokia 7020 is that it’s a phone that sassy girls use! I really don’t know why, but it just gives off that vibe.

So if you want a sleek, sassy looking, clamshell phone but is on a budget, you can check out the Nokia 7020 as it’ll only cost around $120 and will be available fourth quarter of 2009.

Nokia 7020 Specifications:

• 2.2 inch display with 240×320 resolution
• external display with 128×160 resolution
• 2MP camera
• 45MB internal memory and can be expanded via microSD slot
• MP3/MP4 player, stereo FM radio

The headphone above is called the “I’m Flying” headset, designed by Rodshakur and inspired by R Kelly’s “I believe I Can Fly” (I could have guessed that…)

I must say, that’s a pretty cute headphone. It’s not something I would wear on an everyday basis, but it’s a nice headphone to own when you’re feeling a little costume-y!
