My friend has this speakers and I’ve been wanting to write about then for some time now. But never really gotten to it. And then I saw them again at the DS Styles website and got reminded.

So here I am writing about them, haha!

For a portable speaker, they’re pretty decent. Don’t expect like high quality sound or anything like that. But if you’re off to the beach or to a picnic, these are pretty decent speakers to have if you want to have some sort of background music while enjoying your little activity.

What I totally love about them is the size. So very portable, small enough to fit inside your pocket (if you’re wearing baggy pants) or your bag, and not worry about having to carry extra weight around.

It also has this retractable resonator thingie that gives you a “stronger effect” and better bass.

The iOdeum Portable Speaker is powered by a rechargeable li-ion battery that you can charge via USB. If you don’t want to directly attach it to your iPod or if you are using another brand of MP3 player, it also comes with cables compatible with other players.

My friend has it in red (or is it hot pink?), and it also seems it’s available in white and black!

Here’s an MP3 speaker any pink-loving, girly Gadgenista might want to own!

It’s pink and it’s shaped like a compact, with a mirror! It also has a customizable faceplate, so you can slip any photo or image to your liking.

One thing I don’t like about this though is that you need 3 AAA batteries. It would have been much nicer if it’s USB powered. It would be sooo annoying to run out of batteries while listening to your favorite music, won’t it?

Uses a 3.5mm jack and connects to any MP3 player or your computer.

Podio: Speaker/PMP Combo For Cyclists!

Here’s a little gadget health buffs would love! The Podio!

The Podio is a speaker/PMP (portable medial player) combo that you can attach to your bike’s handlebars so you can listen while you cycle away!

Its pretty light, weighs around 139 grams (as heavy as a cellphone or something) and has 2GB storage. Speaker power is around 1.5 watt and has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that powers up the Podio for around 9 to 24 hours of use.

I guess this is better than cycling with your earphones and iPod. For one thing, no tangled cables!

I’m just not sure if people around you will appreciate the kind of music you’ll be playing, haha. And if that’s the case, you can always attach your earphones to the Podio!

And even if you’re not a cyclist, you can still use carry Podio around your neck or in your pocket.

I’m always on the look out for unique portable speakers. You all probably know how I totally hate ear-squishers (aka headsets) because they make my ear painful after a while.
