Sony Vaio X: Smells Like MacBook Wanna-Be!

Sony has recently released their newest Vaio, the Vaio X. It’s claiming to be the world’s lightest netbook at 1.6 pounds. (Hmm, I wonder how many laptops have claimed to be the lightest…) The Vaio X is also pretty thin and sleek with only half-inch in thickness.
Now look at the Vaio X’s keyboard. Doesn’t that scream MacBook at you? The spacing, the shape of the keys, how the keys are protruded. Seems awfully familiar!
Anyhoo, let me stop rambling and I’ll provide you with the Vaio X specifications:
2GHz Intel Processor
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium
11.1″ widescreen display
2GB RAM
Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband Built-In

There’s really nothing much to see with this new digital photo frame from Sony except that it is embellished with Swarovski crystals, probably making this digital photoframe one of the classiest there is in the market. (and probably one of the most expensive, haha)

New Sleek Cybershot From Sony: DSC-TX1!

The new Cybershot DSC-TX1 looks so deliciously wafer thin, with a thickness of less than one inch! More specifically, 0.7 inch thick. Wooooooow. Sexay!
While the thinness of the camera is impressive, that’s not the feature the TX1 boasts. The TX1 uses the back-illuminated CMOS sensor called Exmor R. Exmor R is used by Sony’s digital SLRs and it helps in improving the quality of photos taken in low light.
It also has an antiblur multishot mode and a sweeping panorama shooting capability.
Sony DSC-TX1 features:
10 megapixel camera
3 inch touch screen
Comes in silver, gray, pink and blue.
I just hope the TX1 will take …read more
New and Improved Sony Walkman S Series!

I keep on seeing reviews and news about Sony’s latest Walkmans (Walkmen?) all over the internet, but I don’t really know anyone who owns one. Most of my friends own an iPod. I, myself, own an iPod, hehe.
I think Sony Walkmans are popular in Japan though… *musing*
Personally, I think the reason why Sony Walkmans aren’t popular is because of the name. I mean, come on, Walkman? It just feels so… old school! So prehistoric! Haha. Walkmans remind of those huge portable casette players, which for me, just aren’t cool. Hehehe.
Maybe if they give Sony Walkmans a new name, they’d be …read more

There has been rumors before that Sony’s going to release a new PSP that’s completely different from the current PSPs in the market.
Well, a couple of photos had been leaked and are circulating the around the internet! The image above is supposedly what the new PSPs look like and its going to be called Sony PSP Go!
With the new PSP Go, you can download games via WiFi or from memory stick micro cards. It also has 16GB flash memory so you can store a lot of games, movies and music.
Compared to the PSP-3000, it has a smaller screen of 3.8″ …read more
Sony’s New Webbie Camcorder: MHS-PM1!

Sometime ago my then-boyfriend, now fiance (yes, I’m getting married, haha!) asked me if I knew of any YouTube-friendly camcorders.
I suggested the Flip Mino, but of course, looking for a store that carries a Flip Mino here in the Philippines is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Online shopping could be an option, but then again, not a lot of stores ship all the way here to the Philippines either. *sigh*
Flip Mino isn’t a popular brand of camcorder here so maybe that’s why it’s so hard to find. *facepalm*
Fortunately though, Sony is one of the more well-known brands …read more
Buy Sony’s PSP-3000 And Get A Migraine For Free!

I wrote about Sony’s PSP-3000 new and improved LCD a couple of months back.
Apparently, it’s not so great. Check out the image above.
The PlayStation forums are filling up with irate PSP-3000 buyers who are experiencing unexplained scanlines and totally peculiar interlacing problems. As you can see above, the 3000’s screen looks noticeably worse than that of the 2000 – Engadget
Uck, if that doesn’t give you a migraine, I don’t know what else would. Haha.
AND! The worse thing is, a Japanese Sony Computer Entertainment representative has informed Engadget that the interlacing-like lines are a feature of the new LCD and there …read more

I’m smirking while writing this post. Honestly, there’s so many Apple haters out there, but it’s just really ironic that non-Apple products are one way or another, taking on an Apple-style with their looks and designs.
Seriously, does this not look like an iMac to you? The wireless keyboard (which comes separately by the way) looks very much like Apple’s wireless aluminum keyboard, except Sony’s has a num keypad.
Sony Vaio JS1 Specifications:
500 GB hard drive
3GB RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo
DVD-writer, Wi-Fi
Vista Home Premium
Motion Eye webcam (Hello iSight?)
